OSG Prem: Sir Alex's Last Stand Plus More Are Safe

It was a busy day on the penultimate Sunday of the Prem Season...

First off, after the massive surprise of Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement at season's end from Manchester United. It took goals from Chicharito and Rio Ferdinand to score a late 2-1 win over Swansea. The team also was presented their League trophy. It was also the last home game for the retiring-again Paul Scholes...

The game at Old Trafford started with a Guard of Honor for Sir Alex...


Newcastle, Norwich, and Stoke are safe after wins over QPR, West Brom and a loss to Tottenham. Fulham are also safe after their 3-1 loss to Liverpool. Here's Alan Pardew after finding out his team is safe...


That only leaves Sunderland and Aston Villa to fight with Wigan for the third relegation spot...

Sunderland and Southampton tied at 1 which means that the former are at 39 points and the Villans are at 40. The Latics need to win out to stay in the premiership...

Their first test is with Arsenal on Tuesday and Aston Villa will square off with them on the last day of the regular season.
