The Champions Bowl is now The Sugar Bowl

Confused by the title?

You probably should be, though the SEC, The Big 12/10 and the Sugar Bowl say this is and was part of the plan all along.

The so-called "Champions Bowl" a game agreed upon by the SEC and Big 12/10 to showcase the respective league champs will be played in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl.

No, the Sugar Bowl is not going away, in fact, really nothing much changes other than the opponent for the SEC team. In fact, the game only will feature the SEC or Big 12/10 champ if that team is NOT in the soon-to-come college football playoff.

Trust us, this will all become clear in 2014 when the BCS goes away....

Right?

Yeah, surprisingly, this story was broken by ESPN, who by the way will pay the bowl $80 million a year to televise the game.

Read the ESPN.com story from Brett McMurphy RIGHT HERE

McMurphy also mentioned the other College Football semi-final game sites look to be the Fiesta, the Chick Fil-A and the Cotton.

Should make some interesting changes to viewing habits....
