Tyler Murphy Outduels Jacoby Brissett In The Battle Of Florida Quarterbacks.

Tyler Murphy
The Florida Gators have had issues at quarterback.

Jeff Driskel has lost the confidence of his head coach Will Muschamp and Gator fans.

Wouldn't you love to have kept Tyler Murphy or Jacoby Brissett.

Both are making an impact in the ACC.  Murphy at Boston College and Brissett at NC State.

They met at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina in the battle of Florida quarterbacks.

This one belonged to Murphy who threw for 101 yards and rushed for a 132 yards and two touchdowns.

Murphy's first was this 47 yard touchdown run to give the Eagles a 14-7 lead.

And then this 26 yard touchdown run that put away the Wolfpack 30-14

Jacoby Brissett threw for 174 yards and a touchdown,

"It all comes down to me playing better, which I have to come back next week and do," Brissett said.

NC State has now lost 11 straight ACC games and has never won a conference game during the Dave Doeren era.

"We all want microwaved results, me included, I know our fans do, I get it." Doeren said,

Wild Finish In Syracuse As The Orange Defeat Boston College, BC's Andre Williams Hurt

It was a must win for Syracuse if the Orange were going to be bowl eligible that came down to the final six seconds.  Orange quarterback Terrel Hunt found Josh Parris for the game winner for Syracuse

Thanks Fox Sports South

“It was unbelievable, everything was unbelievable." Parris said.  "The throw, play call was perfect. I didn’t think he was going to call the play. It was a great play call.”

"I thought that was an awesome call." Syracuse head coach Scott Shafer said. "I couldn’t be prouder, the kids just kept fighting."

Hunt finished the game completing 29 out of 43 passes for 270 yards and two touchdown, one interception.

Boston College running back Andre Williams came into the game against Syracuse with 2,073 yards gained 29 yards and a touchdown against the Orange before leaving the game in the third quarter.

“He was hurting, he was hurt right from the beginning." Boston College head coach Steve Addazio said.  "He took a shot early on that same shoulder and was trying to go and just couldn’t go and he couldn’t run with that force and certainly not going to put him in harm’s way."

We had to see someone who's having a special season like Andre Williams was having injured in the final game of the season.

Williams wasn't able to make one final lasting impression on the Heisman Trophy Award voters.

It was a long short anyway.

Tajh Boyd Gives Clemson Fans A Scare In Rout Of Georgia Tech 55-31

Everything was going to plan for the Clemson Tigers during their rout of Georgia Tech Thursday night in Death Valley.  Then a routine seven yard run by quarterback Tajh Boyd late in the third quarter lead to a collective gasp from Tiger fans.

Boyd didn't return and insisted that all is well.

"It's one of those things where it sounded a lot worse than it actually is." Boyd said. "Going down to the ground it was cracking and all, but I feel fine. I had some x-rays and everything is all good."

Boyd's collarbone was not broken, merely bruised plus his sternum was bruised.

I'll throw some ice on it and be fine." Boyd said.

Boyd's final numbers against Georgia Tech 20-26 for 340 yards and four touchdowns, one interception however it became a record setting night for the Clemson quarterback.

When Boyd connected with Martavis Bryant for a 76 yard touchdown pass Boyd pass Philip Rivers as the ACC's all time leader in that category.

Boyd also became Clemson's all-time leader in pass completions breaking Charlie Whitehurst's record.

Next Saturday Clemson plays its final home game against the Citadel.  Tajh Boyd indicates he will not miss that game.  Senior Day at Death Valley is too important.

Clemson had it's way Thursday night in defeating Georgia Tech 55-31.  The Tigers can't win the ACC Atlantic Division since Florida State has already clinched but Clemson is in line to go to a BCS bowl.

Georgia Tech could have clinched a tie for the ACC Coastal Division but all is not lost for the Yellow Jackets.  With no conference games remaining Georgia Tech has put up three losses as the number to potentially win the Coastal.

Miami, Duke and Virginia Tech each have two losses.  Miami and Duke play Saturday.

Three losses might win the Coastal, Georgia Tech is very much alive.
