Corey Crawford Channels Both Ric Flair And Andrew Shaw

((HT: CBS2/youtube))

Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford may have been celebrating a little bit before (and, maybe, during) the victory parade...

Judge for yourself...

So much for having a 7-second delay to prevent such things for a live event on mid-day television...

Ah, but the kids looked like they were having fun...

Andrew Shaw's Scary Turned F-ing Awesome Night At Game 6 Of The Stanley Cup Finals: From Taking A Puck In The Face To Raising The Cup

What a night for the Chicago Blackhawks and in particularly Andrew Shaw.

Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Boston began for Shaw experiencing a hockey players worst nightmare, taking a puck to the face.

A few hours later Shaw was on the ice skating with the Stanley Cup and to him is was f-ing awesome.

Here's the clean version.

And here's Doc Emrick trying to drown out the F-bombs.

ICYMI: Blackhawks Win Game 1 in Triple OT (Yes, 3 Overtimes)--Updated Shaw "F" Bomb

And folks, if there was ever a question about how great Stanley Cup Playoff hockey is, it should be answered after this game.

Many people had already gone to sleep when Andrew Shaw scored late in the 3rd (yes, 3rd) Overtime Period, giving the Chicago Blackhawks a 4-3 win in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

The game ended early Thursday morning and is the 5th longest Stanley Cup Final game in the history of hockey. The win, puts the Blackhawks up 1-0 in the Best of 7 series.

Milan Lucic had 2 goals and an assist for the Bruins and Boston goalie Tuukka Rask faced 63 Blackhawk shots during the course of the game.

Game 2 is Saturday at 8 p.m, which increases the chance--in theory that (a) the game will be over before midnight and (b) that more people will be able to stay awake and see it.

Here are your highlights from NHL.com:

And as for Mr. Shaw---he had a bit of a salty language description of the game winner: But, after all, it was 1AM on the east coast... Going a little backwards, here was the CBC's open... With help from Oasis... ((HT: Hockey Webcaster))

Hockey Fix: Andrew Shaw gets 6-games for AHL Brawlathon

((ht: yahoo/puckdaddy))

Who says there isn't any hockey going on right now? Why half the OSG Sports Media front office went and took in an ECHL game our ownselves this past Saturday.

It's all minor league hockey, which isn't such a bad thing. In fact they don't mind having crazy on-ice brawls in the minors.

Check out one that took place this past weekend in the AHL. Rockford Ice Hogs vs. the Lake Erie Lock Monsters.

The fight starts innocently enough, lots of pushing and shoving around the goal, as hockey players are wont to do.

But the action REALLY picks up around :45 seconds in. That's when Rockford's Andrew Shaw (yes, the same guy who played for the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL), came flying into the fray. And immediately starting swinging at Lake Erie's Patrick Bordeleau.

Shaw was eventually pulled away, but then Bordeleau found himself jumped by Wade Brookbank. Bordeleau got 26 penalty minutes, Brookbank 10 and a game misconduct for leaving the bench. As did Shaw.

And now, Shaw will get 6 more days off as the AHL suspended him.
