Junior Hockey Player Loses Finger On Slapshot

From the QMJHL, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies Jason Fuchs was playing D and the power of the shot sheared his finger from his hand. It was, thankfully, sewn back on and he will be able to recover. But there's no timetable on his return to the ice in his team's playoff series with the Quebec Remparts...

BUZZER BEATER DENIED: Rhamel Brown Saves Game With Blocked Shot At The Buzzer For Manhattan

Among all NCAA active NCAA Division I players Rhamel Brown of Manhattan is the leader in blocked shots with 333.

And Rayvon Harris of Niagara challenged Brown at the end of the game.

Harris took in the inbounds pass and looked to go the length of the floor for the game winner for the Purple Eagles only to be denied by Brown at the buzzer.

Brown led the Jaspers with 22 points, six rebounds and 6 blocks in the Jaspers 78-77 win over the Purple Eagles.  The last one was huge.
