Morning Wrap: Luke Donald vs. The Baboon

((ht: golfchannel.com))

Yes, this really happened, it wasn't holy crap funny, but rather a good chuckle.

Check out this video of Luke Donald as he's playing the 2nd round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.

Donald was blazing through the course at one point he was 9-under through 14 holes on the day.

But the day got delayed...for a brief minute as he was preparing for a shot in the fairway. Luke looks up only to see a baboon ambling across the hole just feet from where he stood.

Donald backs away and gets a good laugh, before stepping back up to play. As for Mr. Baboon, he's gone on to bigger, better things as he grows his video bombing skills.

Golfer Stung By Hornets Mid-Round, Makes Birdie

((HT: European Tour))

Pablo Larrazabal was on the fifth hole of his round in Malaysia when this went down...

He went into the clubhouse and went through the Q-and-A:

“They were three times the size of bees,” said Larrazábal “They were huge and like 30 or 40 of them started to attack me big time. I didn’t know what to do. My caddie told me to run, so I start running like a crazy guy, but the hornets were still there, so the other players told me to jump in the lake.

“I ran to the lake, threw my scorecard down, took off my shoes and jumped in the water. It was the scariest moment of my career, for sure. I’ve never been so scared.”

Larrazabal shot a 68 and is safely playing the weekend at 2-under par.
Lee Westwood is destroying the field with a 65-66 start...
