While attention getting, watching the glass surrounding a hockey rink shatter is also very dangerous.
A handful of Wichita Thunder fans were treated for minor cuts late Friday night after a hit during an ECHL game between the Thunder and Quad City Mallards.
You can watch as Todd Fiddler of the Mallards comes barreling towards Thunder forward Theo Peckham. Fiddler slams into Peckham sending him into the glass which shatters, raining shards on Peckham and the fans seated on the other side.
Like we said, no serious injuries, just some fans got cut--as did Peckham. The video itself is quite the sight.

Panthers Replace Broken Plexiglass With Plywood
((HT: NHL))
The HQ doesn't know how to read this one, but there are plenty of jokes here...
The whole concept of having broken plexiglass is to replace it with more plexiglass...
So, what do the Panthers do...???
It's either sad or typical of their whole situation...
Not that they couldn't send the fans who would have to look around the plywood to different seats- which the HQ is fairly certain are quite available...
But...
C'mon...
Plywood... really...???

Adam Pardy Checked Through The Glass... And Then The Fun Starts...
((HT: NHL))
Adam Pardy of the Winnipeg Jets took a hit from the Blackhawks' Brandon Bollig in the near corner, knocking a pane of glass into the stands.
The glass didn't shatter into the standard four-billion pieces (or two halves) or look like someone got a huge cut to get treated... but one fan wanted a souvenir...
The Hawks won 4-1, by the way...
