Tony Bosch Busted Over Biogenesis, What's The Next Step...???

((HT: WSVN-TV))

The gentleman in Miami who ran the steroids clinic linked to Alex Rodriguez surrendered to authorities after he was charged with conspiracy to distribute steroids. The investigation took a little over a year before Anthony Bosch was charged with any crime.

And technically, it was one count of distributing testosterone- an act that the federal authorities say he did for a four-year period.

Bosch and eight other people were arrested- including Rodriguez's cousin, Yuri Sucart.

Documents involved in the investigation say that Rodriguez bought HgH and other materials from the Bosch clinic for three years. Over a dozen other professional baseball players were disciplined by Major League Baseball for their ties to the Bosch clinic as well last season- including reigning NL MVP Ryan Braun.

Rodriguez was also one of the ones disciplined back then...

Here's the morning report on the Bosch arrest...

Chael Sonnen Explains TRT And Hypogonadism

((HT: Fox Sports))

Not really topics the HQ thought that would really ever be discussed about when on sports-based television programs. But when Chael Sonnen failed drug tests before his fight in UFC 175, he went on to the network where he is an analyst to discuss what went down...

Sonnen tested positive for Anastrozole and Clomiphene- anti-estrogen drugs normally given to women. If men take the drugs (banned by UFC), they reduce estrogen and can also help restart natural testosterone production. Since he had taken synthetic testosterone in the earlier parts of his career, Sonnen needed to take other medication for the correction inside his body later in life.

Sonnen is, obviously, appealing the ruling...

Bay Area Blues: First Melky, Now Colon Busted For PED

((HT: KGO-TV))

First it was the Melky Cabrera saga over on the Bay... which is still ongoing... and now inland, it's Bartolo Colon and his suspension for 50 games for testing positive for testosterone levels above the norm.

"I apologize to the fans, to my teammates and to the Oakland A's," Colon said in a statement released by the MLBPA. "I accept responsibility for my actions and I will serve my suspension as required by the joint drug program."

Here's what the fans think...

The suspension is for the last 40 games of the regular season and the next 10 games- wherever they are (post-season or next season)...

Colon is out almost $470,000, but he would have earned another $250,000 if he started in his turn in the A's rotation Thursday.
