ICYMI: Gator In Play During Golf Tournament

((ht: pgatour.com))

So, you want to play golf near a pond in Louisiana. And much to your surprise, you look at said pond and up comes an alligator.

Check out this video from PGA.com at the Zurich Classic played outside New Orleans.

You've got a gator walking behind a player getting ready to hit, heading towards a rules official or two none of whom seem real anxious to move.

Oh, and take a look at the gator, he's short one leg.

Funny stuff:

Hole 15 at the Heritage: Watch out for the Gator

((pgatour.com))

Watching this video, the first question that popped into our head was "Is he just playing through?" the second being "If you hit the gator, do you get a free round?"

Take a look at what happened in Thursday's opening round of the Heritage Golf Tournament in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Golfer Brian Gay is playing hole #15 when his drive goes a bit left and off the green on the par-3 hole. His caddy, Kip Henley, ends up picking up a Sand Trap Rake and shoos the Gator away so his golfer can get to his ball.

And yes, the hilarity ensued.
