Holdsclaw Pleads Guilty To Assault

Former WNBA player Chamique Holdsclaw pleaded guilty to the assault charges against her ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lacy.

She ended up pleading guilty to:

Two counts of aggravated assault
Multiple criminal damage charges and
Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

As a result, Holdsclaw was sentenced to three years probation and a fine of $3,000.

In November of last year, Holdsclaw followed Lacy down an Atlanta street. When Lacy pulled into a parking lot, Holdsclaw began to hit Lacy's car with a baseball bat and discharged a weapon into Lacy's car- with her still in the car.

According to WXIA-TV, the conditions of her sentencing are: Holdsclaw was ordered to avoid violent contact with Lacy, complete anger management treatment and complete 120 hours of community service where she will talk to youth about depression, adversity and consequences of actions. She also has to surrender any firearms she still may have.

Fulton County (GA) DA spokeswoman Yvette Jones says that a six-count indictment on Chamique Holdsclaw that includes charges of aggravated assault, criminal damage and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

No one was injured at the time of the incident, and Holdsclaw's attorney said at the time that Holdsclaw and Jennifer Lacy were trying to patch up their differences.

No word on if that actually happened, either...

Holdsclaw Arrested In Alleged Assault

Late this evening, former women's basketball star Chamique Holdsclaw turned herself in an assault case involving her former girlfriend...

She was charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, and reckless conduct.

Jennifer Lacy, who ID'ed herself to Atlanta police as her ex, was working out at a local church and was apparently confronted by Holdsclaw. Lacy went to a friend's house after the workout and an initial confrontation.

Upon arriving at the second location, it was reported that Holdsclaw fired a weapon, broke Lacy's driver’s side window, a rear passenger’s window and the rear window. She then flashed a handgun, fired inside Lacy's SUV and left, according to the police report.

Police said they recovered a 9mm shell casing at the scene.
Lacy was not injured.
