Edwards Leaving Roush-Fenway After 11 Years

((HT: Fox Sports 1/NASCAR))

The news wasn't all that unexpected, but Carl Edwards is out at Roush-Fenway Racing after this season, heading to a fourth car that Joe Gibbs Racing will be adding to their stacks in 2015.

We think...

Greg Biffle, Ricky Stenhouse, Junior and Trevor Bayne (getting a full season ride) are the three for RFR next year.

"I have had the privilege of fielding entries for the world's best race car drivers in NASCAR for nearly 30 years, and feel quite fortunate to have an opportunity to do that again next year," said team co-owner Jack Roush in a press release.

"We have always prided ourselves in developing talent at Roush Fenway, and our 2015 line-up is a testament to the success of our organization in that respect," Roush said. "Greg Biffle is one of the most purely talented racers I've ever seen behind the wheel of a car, and his experience combined with the raw natural abilities, enthusiasm and desire in both Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and Trevor Bayne have me very excited for the future. Although we still have a lot to accomplish this year, both John Henry and I are looking forward to going to the track in 2015 with this blend of veteran leadership and youthful potential."

Fastenal stays with RFR and goes to the Stenhouse car. AdvoCare will pair with Bayne.

Here's the instant analysis...

By contract, Edwards cannot announce his future plans until September, but he admits publicly he has plans in place.

The Big One Only Waits 42 Laps At Talladega (UPDATED: With Another Big One With 6 To Go And David Ragan Wins)

Kyle Busch gets a push from Marcus Ambrose... He goes into the back of Kasey Kahne to send him around and all hell breaks loose at Talladega... Busch admitted on his in-car communications that it was his fault...

Your victims- Kyle, Kahne, Greg Biffle, Jamie McMurray, Brian Vickers, Casey Mears, Ambrose, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, David Stremme, Martin Truex, Junior, and Jeff Burton all either got damage of some sort or are out for the day... 14 of 43...

Not a bad percentage for the haunted speedway to take another chunk out of the sport... a full one-third of the field...

Here's a little bit of it from nascarcrashesmore...

More when we know more...

UPDATE: With 6 laps to go, it all happened again...

It looked like Ricky Stenhouse squeezed JJ Yeley as the cars went four wide and it caused another chain reaction involving Kurt Busch (who was looking to win the race). Ryan Newman ended up with the 78 on top of him. Bowyer, both Labontes, David Stremme, Danica Patrick, Jamie McMurray, and Jeff Gordon were all involved.

Stenhouse called out Yeley in his own in-car communication...
Here's the other big one...

NASCAR, much like Saturday's Nationwide race, only allowed one pass for a green-white-checkered finish. Seven hours after the official start, David Ragan got a big push from his teammate David Gilliand and beat out Johnson, Edwards, and Kenseth.

Huzzahs to everyone at Front Row Motorsports for their finish...

Marcos Ambrose Wins Wild Finish At The Glen

((HT: NASCAR/ESPN/MT89Motorsport2))

So, how many of you had RPM Motorsports Marcos Ambrose in the pool...???

After a wacky green-white-checkered finish, the number 9 car gets the first place points...

Here's the ending... and good for RPM...

"There were days, weeks when I was anxious," Ambrose said. "There were times I was sitting around the boardroom table and there was nobody else there. But you've got to roll the dice sometimes."

It was Ford's first victory on a road course since Geoff Bodine won there in 1996 and the 15th different winner in Cup races this year.

But it gets better... Boris Said wants a piece of Greg Biffle...
And the language is awesome...

When was the last time a driver told another that he'd show up with a black eye on a Wednesday in the future...??? The HQ doesn't care and wants to see it in person...
