OSG Medical: Steve Gleason Announces Special House For ALS/MS Patients

Former New Orleans Saints defensive back Steve Gleason went in front of the United Nations over the spring and said that technology could help in the integration of ALS and Multiple Sclerosis patients.

Today in New Orleans Team Gleason, Steve's foundation, announced the construction of a special residence for people with neuromuscular disorders in the St. Margaret's Skilled Nursing Residence in town. Eye-activating technology allows people to open curtains, turn on TVs, open doors and turn on lights inside the house.

JPMorgan Chase and Company gave $350,000 to the house in its construction.

Wild's Harding Diagnosed With MS

Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He is currently undergoing treatment and was able to resume working out two weeks ago without any trouble...

Wild GM Chuck Fletcher released a statement:

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Josh and his family following the news that he has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Josh’s competitive fire has led him to a successful career in the NHL and we know he will approach this new battle in the same manner."

And that's about all he can say at the moment since he's in a labor dispute with the guys he would have under contract at present...
