CSN Houston's Julia Morales got one of those assignments...
She's at Fenway where the Astros are playing the Red Sox and guess who is watching his fellow Texans...
Right on, right on, right on...
But it is good to know about the position of the fanny pack since the HQ will NEVER WEAR ONE...

The Sterling Decision: Impact On Televison
((HT: Awful Announcing/TSN2/NBA))
Admittedly, it is a lot easier for sideline talent to interject themselves into the situations they're reporting on...
Last night, the HQ will admit that is took David Aldridge a lot of guts to talk about how the impact of the Donald Sterling banishment hit his family right in the gut...
Here's his introduction from last night's Clippers-Warriors game...
That's how deep it got for some folks last night, and the NBA is, hopefully, better today than it was the day before...

FOSG Saved By Peanut
((HT: NFL on FOX))
There are those times where being a sideline reporter could or should carry a Surgeon General's Warning...
Like this incident today at the Bears game...
The HQ would like to thank Charles Tillman for saving Laura from getting run over...
Carry on...

Pam Oliver Shakes It Off...
((HT: NFL on FOX/jeffallen71 via Instagram))
This happened pre-game to Fox sideline reporter Pam Oliver before the New York Giants-Indianapolis Colts game...
For the record, it was Chandler Harnish who through the wild pass, not Oliver Luck, Bert Jones, or Marty Domres...
Looks like she shook it off very well...

Adventures With Kawasaki: Life As A Reporter
((HT: Sportsnet))
The HQ knows about video bombing and photo bombing... and how funny it can be sometimes...
But what happens when one of the more beloved Toronto Blue Jays video bombs from behind the camera to ask questions to his teammates...???
This...
The country is Kawasaki's... and we're all enjoying it...

Heads Up: Brewers Sideline Reporter Hit By Foul
((ht: sportsgrid.com))
Maybe we just didn't hear the "heads up" because this was recorded off TV. Or it did not happen.
Either way, the video here is pretty funny.
Sophia Minnaert, sideline reporter for the regional Fox Sports Net that does Brewers games is caught by surprise Sunday afternoon when in the middle of a report, a ball goes flying in her direction and hits her...in the microphone, knocking it out of her hands.
Minnaert stands there stunned for a second before picking up and continuing her report.
She's lucky and props to her for staying focused.
