This wasn't really one of those games that comes up and bites you as a reason to be shown under a normal circumstance
But, it turned out to be one of the games of the day
John Pierson has the context
The HQ has always been one of those groups that enjoys telling the story of the underdog- and when a Division I-AA squad knocks off a Division I squad... doesn't matter who, where, or when... we'll show it...
It's also the 100th anniversary of the Yale Bowl, so it gives us another reason to tell the story of Coach Reno and what he and the Elis pulled off yesterday.

Rory McIlroy + Yale Bowl= Target Practice
((HT: NewHavenOpenTennis))
This is what happens when your girlfriend is a very good tennis player...
You get dragged to try the occasional stunt for her upcoming tournament
Rory McIlroy was taken to Yale Bowl to see if he could knock tennis balls out of the light rough and send them out of the stadium...
Hilarity ensues...
Guess he got it out of the tunnel...

Yale Knocks Off Trinity... So What, You Say...???
((HT: Yale Athletics))
The answers to the trivia questions are: John Roberts, 5-4, and 252...
The Bulldogs beat the Bantams in squash ((The HQ knows you're trying to stifle laughter on that one)) to end the nation's longest win streak- regardless of sport.
That 252 straight included 13 national titles in the sport, even as Trinity admitted this was their most inexperienced team in years going into the season.
Here's match point...
Jeff Nowak of the Hartford Courant caught up with Yale head coach Dave Talbott:
"I can't say enough about my guys — such heart," said Yale head coach Dave Talbott. "Trinity's put squash on the map in this country. … To see this many kids from this many countries competing against each other is really amazing."
The school's last loss was February 22, 1998- before last night, anyway...

So... Did He Or Didn't He...??? Williams And The Rhodes...
((HT: WTNH-TV))
There was a lot of talk this week where Yale QB Patrick Witt gave up his shot at interviewing for a Rhodes scholarship because it conflicted with The Game...
Witt told people that unless they understood the idea of being a part of a team, they wouldn't get his choice. His head coach, Tom Williams, has been consulting Witt on his path during this whole process.
Williams claims that he had walked a mile in Witt's shoes and didn't follow through with his Rhodes avail when he was at Stanford.
Slight problem...
The Rhodes Trust doesn't remember any of it...
So, now Yale is investigating Williams resume...
Oops...
