Well, that didn't take long...
Only two days after five former Buffalo Bills cheerleaders field suit against the football team in New York Supreme Court over demeaning work conditions and wages that didn't even meet minimum wage guidelines, the group in charge of the Jills has suspended operations of the group...
Here's Scott and Mary Alice again with the details...
Here's the complaint from the former Jills...
And, stating the nature of the lawsuit, the Bills aren't commenting on the Jills situation...

And Now It's The Jills Turn To File Suit
((HT: WGRZ-TV))
We first saw this with the Oakland Raiders and their cheerleaders...
They filed suit claiming that the team failed to pay them in accordance to minimum wage laws and forced them to act in a demeaned manner at times while representing the team. Citing their long hours and averaging out their activities against the hours worked, it was nowhere close in Oak Town and they went to court...
Now, a handful of former Buffalo Bills cheerleaders are following in that activity in state Supreme Court...
And the one thing the HQ knows is not to mess with any woman from western New York State...
Scott and Mary Alice have the details...
Here's the suit as it was filed...
Obviously, the Bills didn't have any kind of "real" comment citing the impending litigation. But it will be interesting to see how the court views the relationship between independent contractors and a monopoly...

Ashlee Arnau Does It Again...Flip Shot From Half Court
((HT: Bailey Hill))
The HQ knows Ashlee Arnau from our television adventures... as both a soccer player and cheerleader at William Carey University
Last year, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi she hit a half court shot where she does a somersault, grabbing the ball at mid-court, and flipping it over her head and sinking the shot...
Well, last night... she did it again...
Now, all we have to do is have her do it in person...

OSG High: Cheerleaders Benched For Condoms In Spirit Bags
((HT: KHOU-TV))
Okay... this could be two schools of thought...
The Wharton (TX) High cheerleaders who put condoms in the goodie bags for their football players were either being preventative and showing some forethought or...
Well, the other one...
The powers that are with the school district called that move a violation of the student code of conduct. The cheerleaders were given a one-day, in-school suspension and were banned from last night’s game against Bellville.
Here's the fallout...
The school system says their decisions are based on state law...
The HQ would like to know what law they're thinking of for that punishment...

OSG High: Texas Cheerleaders Can Quote Scripture On Pre-Game Banners
((HT: KFDM-TV Beaumont))
The Freedom From Religion Foundation has been on the warpath in the last year trying to keep religious influence from high school football games and their associated activities- pre-game, post-game, practice... all over...
The HQ knows of two instances, one it reported on, involving coaches who prayed with their teams on school grounds- much to the dismay and anger of the local townsfolk. Look up the cases the FFRF had against Ridgeland High School (GA) and Haralson County High School (GA) for your backgrounder.
Now, over the last eight months or so the FFRF has been telling cheerleaders at Kountze High School in southeast Texas that they needed to stop. But Texas State District Judge Steve Thomas determined the cheerleaders' banners are constitutionally permissible. In a copy of the ruling obtained by Beaumont station KFDM, Thomas determined that no law "prohibits cheerleaders from using religious-themed banners at school sporting events."
Judge Thomas may need, and will probably need, to be reminded of the whole separation of church and state thing...
Here's the original victory in court...
The FFRF said the messages violated the First Amendment's Establishment Clause, which bars the government from establishing or endorsing a religion.
So much for that... the case was set to go to trial in late June, but the judge's summary judgment puts an end to the proceedings (until the FFRF or someone like them appeals to a higher court)

Best Cheerleader Basketball Trick Shot Ever
We'd give you the "Don't try this at home" qualifier for this trick shot, but we're pretty sure that you still wouldn't be able to do this.
Words can barely describe this running flipl, pick-up-the ball at half court while upside down launch it in during the roll and it goes in shot by Ashlee Arnau, a cheerleader at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
((OSG Note--William Carey is part of the NAIA's Southern States Conference who's weekly TV show is produced by your friends at OSG Sports Media))
This may be the greatest half-court trick shot ever.

Colts Cheerleaders Are ChuckStrong
((HT: Huffington Post))
The Indianapolis Colts have rallied around their head coach, Chuck Pagano, as he has been fighting leukemia and has had to be away from the team during treatment...
ChuckStrong tees are all over the team website and all over Indianapolis in support for fighting the disease...
Support has now even taken hold with the cheerleaders...
Yesterday, Megan M. and Crystal Anne shaved their heads in support of the cause...
Here's the trimming...
Crystal Anne overcame leukemia when she was three, so this was a no-brainer...
The hair is going to be sent to Locks of Love...
