It's not just a thing against Americans, but the Dagestani and Chechnyans just want to make a statement...

DEVELOPING: "Specific Threats" Targeting Sochi

Surprising no one, really...
And the HQ will maintain that it doesn't matter how many times you puff your chest out, but all the hyper-security in the world will not keep jihadis from doing what they want to do in a high security-I dare you to do it situation...
Like the Olympics...
The US is making plans to have transportation ready if things go sideways. Team USA goalie Mike Smith has told his family not to come because of his own security concerns, and now to back some of that paranoia up the US government is maintaining they're getting intelligence that is backing these thoughts...
And this is outside the Dagestan and Chechnyan threats currently on the books...
A House Intelligence Committee hearing revealed these "specific threats" in an interview with Matthew Olsen- director of the National Counterterrorism Center.
Jake Tapper analyzes...
The Austrian Olympic Committee is now on record of getting threatening letters for two of their athletes as well...
So, this doesn't look like we're going well...

Doesn't Look Like There's A Plan B For Hockey In Sochi

Okay, so we now have the answer that some probably didn't want to hear...
If it goes sideways in Sochi, Team USA goalie Mike Smith might have had it right by not adding any family to his travel itinerary for the Games. The US government has said that there will be ships, planes, and helicopters at the ready for evacuations...
The only vision the HQ has, really, is the last images of the fall of Saigon where people were rescued from the embassy roof.
We hope we're wrong...
But the Hockey Central guys- Millard, Kypreos, and Maclean asked Bill Daly about a Plan B...
Which, apparently, doesn't exist...

US Ramping Up Plans If It Goes Sideways In Sochi

The United States government is looking at their evacuation plans if terrorism rears its suspected head during the upcoming Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia...
Russian President Vladimir Putin has put up a security perimeter outside the town itself that takes nothing short of an act of Congress to access. The US military, in return, are having warships and aircraft within reach in case of necessary evacuations.
Richard Engel is watching from Moscow...
For now...
A video put up on Youtube by an alleged terror group from the Dagestan republic laid claim to recent blasts in Volgograd and claimed incidents were coming to Sochi as well...
CNN's Jim Sciutto centers around a "black widow" that the Russians are keeping their eyers on as a focus for possible violence...
