Bad Night To Be A Miller... Florida And Wisconsin Advance

Two Millers had a chance to get to the last four teams to play this season in men's college basketball...

And neither will get to North Dallas...

Archie Miller and his Dayton Flyers lost by ten to Florida, 62-52, so Billy Donovan and the Gators go...
In the last game of the night, Sean Miller had a chance to get there- first surviving regulation with Wisconsin and playing another five minutes. But, the extra five ended really goofy...

An offensive foul call down one led to an inbounds pass that had a 37-minute review before a reversal that gave Arizona another chance at getting the game-winner...


Actually, in all fairness, the review wasn't 37 minutes... but it seemed that long...

But they did get it right...

But, more interestingly, the offensive foul call was the more debatable of the two calls by officials late-late-late in the free hoops portion of the program...

Props to Bo Ryan and to the B1G- the conference has a team in the last three games of the year for the 11th time in last 16 years - but Michigan State in 2000 is the only team to get a title...

Long Night For Ranked Teams In The B1G

Two huge Big Ten upsets last night...

Penn State won in Columbus for the first time in a decade with a 71-70 win over Ohio State in overtime. DJ Newbill's jumper with two seconds left in overtime was the difference there...

And Northwestern followed with another huge upset, a 65-56 victory over No. 14 Wisconsin in Madison.
It was Northwestern's first win in Madison since 1996...



And Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan gave this answer when asked about the 3-point shooting of Northwestern that put the Wildcats out on the horizon early and kept Wisconsin doing nothing but catching up...
