The great thing about sports is sometimes you see games end in ways you've never seen before. Last nights Sacramento Kings-Memphis Grizzlies game in Memphis is a perfect example of it.
The Kings had dominated Memphis for most of the night, leading by as much as 26 in the 1st half.
But the Grizz chipped away, trying to hold their 17 game home winning streak in tact. And on the heels of Mike Conley's 3-pointer with 10 seconds left, they took a 109-108 lead.
But the Kings weren't done. DeMarcus Cousins got fouled driving to the basket and hits the two free throws, giving Sacramento a 110-109 lead.
And with 0.3 seconds left on the clock, Grizzlies forward Vince Carter throws the ball in to a wide open Courtney Lee who grabs the ball and banks it in all in one motion as the buzzer sounds.
Grizzlies win...game over.

Dennis Schroeder Says Hello To DeMarcus Cousins
((HT: NBA))
And gets a one-game suspension for it...
That wasn't very nice...
Schroeder serves his suspension tonight when the Hawks play Denver...

DMC Has Issues With Grant Napear
((HT: Awful Announcing))
Sac Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins can be rather, how should the HQ say this, "emotionally involved" with his on-court play. But when Kings play-by-play guy and Sacramento sports talk show host Grant Napear may have said some disparaging things on his show... Cousins remembered...
And finally got his opportunity the other night to respond to a perceived slight...
Evidence below...
There is also chatter that Cousins said a nasty word after he was out of mic range, but the HQ will wait for independent confirmation on that...

Sac. Kings suspend DeMarcus Cousins...again
((ht: sacbee.com))
It's not always good to be King. Or a Sacramento King. Or DeMarcus Cousins Just ask the management of the woeful NBA Basketball team who were forced to suspend their "Tempermental" center yet again after getting into a shouting match with head coach Keith Smart.
The incident, this time, happened at the half of Friday nights loss vs. The Los Angeles Clippers. And while Cousins is now saying all the contrite things after the fact. It just adds to the specter he may be more trouble than he is worth.
Cousins told the Sacramento Bee: "What happens in the locker room stays in the locker room but I was wrong." he added "I messed up. I'm apologizing to all my teammates for it, for responding the way I did and we'll move on from it. I grow from all of my mistakes."
Hmmm....
Let's see. So he goes for the nut shot on Mavericks Guard O.J Mayo just over a week ago. Earlier in the season, he sat out two games for trying to go after Spurs broadcaster Sean Elliot and last year his confrontations with former head coach Paul Westphal led to Westphal being fired.
But that behavior is accepted and will not too adversely affect his career because he's 22, he's 7-feet tall and has some modicum of talent. Never mind that his peers seem to think he's insane, he argues with his coaches and doesn't seem too concerned about.
Here's some video of Cousin's jab to Mayo's nether regions some 10-days ago...

DeMarcus Cousins Sent Home From Sac Kings Game
Because he wants to be traded...
And head coach Paul Westphal wants none of his back talk...
Here's his full statement:
"Whenever a new season begins, in any sport, there is great hope that everything will progress in only a steady, upward direction. As we all know, it seldom happens like that in this life!
As coaches, we can only ask that our players do everything they can to improve themselves as individuals and teammates. If they do this with all their hearts, we live with the results.
Everything that happens on a team does not become known to the public. This is how it should be. However, when a player continually, aggressively, lets it be known that he is unwilling/unable to embrace traveling in the same direction as his team, it cannot be ignored indefinitely.
DeMarcus Cousins has demanded to be traded. In the best interest of our team as we go forward, he has been directed by me, with the support of management, to stay home from the New Orleans game tonight.”
And, wouldn't you know, that with Cousins not in house the Kings blew out New Orleans by 16...
Here's how the story is being treated out there...
And here's Cousins himself from a few days prior...
