You recall all of the problems that the Deion Sanders-created Prime Prep Academy is having to face at present...
Possible decertification, charter revocation, and an unfit building for starters...
Well, we're at the beginning of the school year and PPA is still in business- for now...
Now word on how long the place may be open, may stay open, or might fold in general...

OSG High: Prime Prep Academy Problems Continue
((HT: WFAA-TV))
It has been a long two years for the Deion Sanders-started Prime Prep Academy in Dallas.
The school has had to challenge the revocation of its charter by the Texas Education Agency because of low test scores in that time frame and the feds investigating the misuse of federal funds over their plan of free and discounted lunches. The administrators also had to admit publicly that the school is six figures-worth of being in the hole.
Remember the incident where Deion got into a fight with the Academy's fellow owners and operators that included their banning Sanders from campus...???
Yep... it was over this place...
Brett Shipp details the next round of issues
Sanders maintains that the kids are the victims in this- despite the allegations of unpaid rent and a curriculum that may not satisfy NCAA rules and regulations for athletes that would be graduates- and he thinks that the impossible will happen in a reversal of the decision by the TEA so the school can keep its charter.

Texas Moves to Close Deion Sanders Private High School
((ht: myfoxdfw.com))
So...when does a state move to revoke the charter of a high school? Well, probably when that school repeatedly has financial management issues and doesn't comply with the state's rules and code of education.
That's the fate that is facing former NFL All Star Deion Sanders's "Prime Prep" school which has locations in Dallas and Fort Worth and has apparently featured several "Star" athletes, who's eligibility has now become in question. Sanders is a co-founder of the school. And Sanders was quick to respond to the allegations.
Read the Tweets:
This is not the school's 1st brush with the state, in 2012, there were allegations of lax educational standards, power struggles with the management and issues with the school lunch programs.
This time, the allegations, well, they are similar to the 2012 allegations. The school for their part says they plan to appeal.

Star basketball player Emmanuel Mulday walked away from a scholarship offer to SMU to play hoops overseas professionally amidst multiple reports he was being investigated by the NCAA.
This story is a "Prime" example of what is happening in amateur sports. Schools are being created for the express purpose of churning out star athletes. The education is becoming secondary. Fast.
We applaud the state of Texas for taking a stand and telling Prime Prep if they want to be considered a legitimate educational institute, it's time they start acting like one.

My former Co-Founder DL Wallace was a Crook and Heartless and we are still suffering from his Devilish ways. TEA informed PrimePrep.

Deion Fired From His Own School... Again...
((HT: WFAA-TV))
Deion Sanders created the Prime Prep Academy as an alternative to the public school system in the Metroplex, but this time, it has nothing to do with the alleged assaulted of one of the administrators.
Sanders was rehired the next day. But this time, the Texas Education Agency gets to look at a power struggle up close.
Deion was fired again yesterday and 75 students walked out of class as a sit-in protest...
Sanders has been fired by administrators whom he and Prime Prep Board President T. Chris Lewis have been trying to replace. Obviously, they don't want to be replaced...
There are conflicts of interest all over the place, it seems, and this is a flat mess...
Here's Deion addressing the media from outside, since authorities won't let him inside...
So, of course, the kids are the ones taking it in the face on this one all over again...
And this is far from over...

Deion's Divorce Drama
((HT: WFAA-TV Dallas))
A suburban Dallas judge is hearing both sides of the Deion and Pilar Sanders divorce proceedings- trying to do what's best, ultimately, for the children and deal with dual (and dueling) protective orders ffrom one to the other...
Nearly 20 people are expected to testify by the time the hearing is over including the Sanders' maids and their three children ages 12, 10 and 8.
Here's the noon live shot...
The kids are probably going to be considered witnesses in the eyes of the court and the representative for the children is demanding the parents live apart immediately.
