The latest: Paying off a lost bet to University of Georgia grad and NBA on TNT Host Ernie Johnson Jr. The two had a wager on last weekends UGA vs. Auburn game (Barkley's alma mater). Georgia won.

So in the spirit of fun; Sir Charles paid his debt by singing the UGA fight song on the show...

Oh, that Shaquille O'Neal guy, he's got a riotous sense of humor and apparently like Harvey Levin and TMZ so much that he calls them.

At least that's the reason the Shaq daddy used when he grabbed one of TMZ's photographers, had him get in the car and drive around town.

And Shaq kept saying over and over, "Harvey, you never called me back, so now I'm taking your guy".

Hahahaha! Hohohoho! Heeheehee!

Morning Wrap: Niagara U Women's Basketball Team Rescued From Snowstorm

24 members of the Niagara University Women's Basketball program are undoubtedly thawing themselves out Wednesday after spending nearly twenty four hours stranded on a West Seneca, NY highway, riding out an immense snow storm.

The team was heading back to Northwestern New York via bus after playing in Pittsburgh Monday night.

They got just south of West Seneca on I-90, not too far from home in Buffalo, when the bus could go no further. Parts of Northwestern New York received up to 60 inches of snow in just over 24 hours.

Ever resourceful, the team reached out via Social Media to let people know what was going on and that they were okay. They had some good laughs and have a heck of a story to share with family and friends.

Early Wednesday morning, they were rescued. We're guessing most are sitting in front of a fireplace right about now.

Morning Wrap: Daniel Tosh is NOT Happy With ESPN

This headline might be one of the sports worlds biggest understatements.

Comedian Daniel Tosh used his TV show on Comedy Central, Tosh.O to express...um...his displeasure with the Worldwide Leader essentially stealing one of his regular segment ideas.

In Tosh's world, the "Web Redemption" is a segment where he invites someone who experiences a huge web blooper to relive the moment in a funny, but successful way.

ESPN recently tried to do a similar segment with the Canadian anthem singer who tripped while skating and singing the anthem at the same time.

Tosh voiced his anger in the BEST way a comedian could.

By attacking ESPN....and piece by piece destroying everything those of us who hate what they've become...hate about them.

Strange But True: Nicki Minaj Putts Into a Butt

Okay, admittedly, we're posting this to try and drum up a few clicks on the site...but um...well, it defies description.

ICYMI: Jets Fan Heckled Walking Around Manhattan

Yeah, I know, we are late to the party with this video, but it's pretty funny...and telling.

In the wake of the viral video showing a woman walking around Manhattan getting catcalls, many people have tried to spoof it.

One of the best....the one here.

This features a guy named Jay Nog dressed up in New York Jets gear wandering the streets of the Big Island. It kinda looks a little bit staged, but it's still pretty funny.

And telling, because outside the folks at the 4-letter (ESPN) and a handful on New York City residents, nobody really cares about the 2-8 Jets.

Katie Nolan Calls Out Entire Fox Sports 1 Team; All of Them

Okay, admittedly, we knew that Brother Jon followed Katie Nolan of FS1, but we didn't. Partially because, well, we weren't really sure about the whole Fox Sports thing. Though admittedly, we think Jay and Dan are funny.

But anyway...

Perhaps the most interesting of them all-- Katie Nolan. We'd heard she has some fun and different takes on things, but apologetically, we haven't paid attention to them.

Until now.

Check out Katie as she tries to get her friends at FS1 a little more love--by throwing a few darts. And yeah, at the beginning, she makes a really good point. It was scary to see how much Internet attention a Bill Simmons Twitter rant drew on Thursday.

Matthew McConaughey Can Throw a Football Pretty Good

Hey, doesn't everyone who grows up in Texas know how to throw a football well?

We have to admit, after watching this that Interstellar star Matthew McConaughey has a gun. The guy knows how to throw a football.

Check out video of him on Jimmy Fallon's show Thursday night. Technically speaking, the delivery is spot on. We're guessing that was not the 1st time he's thrown. Wonder if the dude was a QB in High School or something?

As for Fallon, well, he was a bit overmatched in this competition--ha!

Morning Wrap: NCAA Bluffed Penn St Into Accepting Sanctions

Oh, great. The NCAA did something stupid again. We are shocked.

A group of NCAA internal e-mails shows that their may have been some deceit involved when the organization levied one of the strongest penalties of all time to Penn State back in 2012 on the heels of the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

The revelations here aren't that stunning. We knew going in the NCAA was moving into uncharted territory by sanctioning a school for the criminal acts of one guy and for the allegations of a cover-up.
That had never been done before, which most of us knew.

What we didn't know is that the NCAA had some trepidation about it.

One of the e-mails, from then director of enforcement Julie Roe Lach to VP of academic and membership Kevin Lennon stated; “I know we are banking on the fact school is so embarrassed they will do anything, but I am not sure about that, and no confidence conference or other members will agree to any of that. This will force the jurisdictional issue that we really don't have a great answer to that one.”

They guessed right. Penn State basically said "Do what you will". The school was slapped with a $60 million fine, a bowl ban until 2017 and limited to 65 scholarships for the football team.

Those sanctions will be lifted after this year.

The NCAA did respond to the accusations that they singled out or targeted Penn State by saying essentially the conversations, debates are a part of the discussion over the merits in taking such actions. They were not out of line nor did they indicated a vindictive nature.

We agree.

It looks kinda bad, but to take action, such a discussion needed to be had.

Did they (the NCAA) take advantage of a situation? Probably. Did they have to act and act decisively, absolutely. The Penn State folks still consider it an assault on them. And maybe to an extent it was. But what was uncovered there had to be addressed and measures had to be taken in order to make sure it would never happen again.

Deal with it.

Football Players Rescue Man By Lifting Truck Off Him

That legend where the big muscular guys come and physically pick up a vehicle to move it...

Well, that happened last week in Portales, New Mexico.

Two football players from Eastern New Mexico University are being called heroes after they rescued a man being crushed by a truck that rolled on top of him.

Chevy Mikaele and Ben Langford were at a church a week ago when they heard the cries for help from John Reilly across the street. Reilly was working underneath his truck when it slipped out of gear, rolling on top of him.

Mikaele and Langford ran across the street, lifted the truck a couple of feet off the ground and pulled a non-breathing Reilly out. Emergency crews arrived and took the man to a Lubbock, New Mexico hospital where he has a cracked spine, his chest crushed.

But he will survive.

Seattle Area H.S Offers Division Title to Grieving Marysville-Pilchuck

Great tragedy for some often brings out the best in others.

Which in the world of Sports often happens in strange and different ways.

On Friday, the students of Seattle area Marysville-Pilchuck High School had their worlds rocked when a freshman football player walked into the school cafeteria and began shooting, killing one student and injuring 4 others before taking his own life.

Friday night, Marysville-Pilchuck was scheduled to play their arch-rivals, Oak Harbor. Out of respect to what happened, the game was not played.

But in the spirit of the moment and out of respect for their fellow students, the football team at Oak Harbor did something that will always be remembered.

They forfeited the game.

And that forfeit gave Marysville-Pilchuck the district title. Oak Harbor gladly accepted second place. Along with that, several Oak Harbor players came to Marysville and attended a Pilchuck team meeting. A gesture that was happily accepted and appreciated by all concerned.

Little League Coach Fined and Suspended for 8-Year Old's TD

When is an interception return for a touchdown in the 4th quarter of a game costly?

When it happens in a little league game where there is a mercy rule and the TD return exceeded it.

That's what happened over the weekend in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The Lawrenceville Black Knights were beating Collins Hill 32-0, when 8-year old Elijah Burrell intercepted a pass and started returning it for a TD. That broke a Gwinnett Football League rule that says a 33 point spread in a game is enough for the game to be called.

The coach of the Black Knights, who for some reason was NOT named in the story, was fined $500 and suspended for a game.

Parents and the kids, mostly 8 and 9 year olds are chipping in to pay for their coaches defense.

Erik Richards of the Gwinnett Football league told Atlanta TV Station CBS46 that the Knights laid on the ground, ran off the field and mocked the other team. Which is why he is enforcing the penalty.

Which is fine, but begs a question that nobody has appeared to ask? Why didn't the refs call the game at 32-0? If the letter of the law is 33 points is the difference, this would have happened at the 1st attempt the Black Knights made at scoring. There was no way for them NOT to break the rule.

So why all the hullabaloo? We don't know, the whole thing sounds silly...

Oscar Pistorius Sentenced To Prison

So it appears that former double amputee and Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius will spend time in jail for the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius was sentenced to 5-years for the shooting incident which was termed by the judge as "gross negligence".

However...

Pistorius's lawyer says that the former Olympian is expected to serve 10 months in jail and the rest of his term will be spent under "House Arrest". There are appeal options for both sides in this case but neither have said whether they'll pursue that option.

You'll recall back in September, Pistorius was convicted of "culpable homicide" after a lengthy and emotional trial in South Africa.

Uh--Minnesota Wants You To "Do The Gopher" With Iggy Azalea and Caddyshack Gopher

Um...yeah, we are a bit sleep deprived these days, so when we saw this video, we thought we were either hallucinating or left a broadcast of Caddyshack on TV.

But alas, our mind was not playing tricks on us.

Check out this odd video produced by the Minnesota Golden Gophers athletic department.

It's essentially a short music video called "Do the Gopher". And the video not only appears to feature the Caddyshack gopher, it also features pop music star Iggy Azalea, who we assume is from the Gopher state and apparently was at the teams homecoming game on Saturday.

((Note--The Gophers have had a good football season thus far, they are one of the few 6-1 teams in the Little 10 (um..Big 10)))

Anyway, behold the video in all it's majesty...and no, we don't know how we confused the music with Kenny Loggins singing "I'm alright".

ICYMI: Dayton Kicker Gets TD on His Kickoff

Please allow us to explain this headline, because a kicker scoring a TD on his own kickoff isn't so easy to do.

The set up: The University of Dayton played Marist Saturday. The Flyers took a 21-14 lead in the second quarter and Dayton kicker William Will (his real name) kicked off to Marist.

Marist's Lawrence Dickens caught the kick and was running it back when he fumbled.

Amazingly, the ball bounced around and hopped straight up into Will's hands.

The happy kicker ran as fast as he could...and scored a touchdown, putting his team up 28-14. Dayton won the game 31-21...and Will was named Pioneer League Special Teams Player of the Week.

No, really. A poem, from NFL legend Brett Favre to current NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Junior.

We should add that both guys are spokesmen for Wrangler Jeans and the fact it's on video while Favre is representing isn't a coincidence...
