We are pretty certain Charles Barkley is gods gift to internet sports bloggers. Why else would he do the things he does?
The latest: Paying off a lost bet to University of Georgia grad and NBA on TNT Host Ernie Johnson Jr. The two had a wager on last weekends UGA vs. Auburn game (Barkley's alma mater). Georgia won.
So in the spirit of fun; Sir Charles paid his debt by singing the UGA fight song on the show...
Okay, so he tried to...

Morning Wrap: Charles Barkley Channeling Kim Kardashian--Haha!
Bwahahaha! Made you look...
Now you can't unsee this.
Take a look at what the merry band of pranksters at the NBA on TNT came up with...
Um....this would be their take on mocking the self-important, arrogant and just plain dumb cover of the magazine "Paper" featuring a naked Kim Kardashian showing her one and only talent.
Yes, it's none other than Charles Barkley.
This is funny, but don't look at it while eating lunch...

Worst First Pitch Ever This Week So Far: Charles Barkley Edition
((ht: mlb.com))
Yikes! Who knew that NBA legend and TNT basketball analyst Charles Barkley would throw a first pitch nearly as ugly as his golf swing.
Check out the Chuckster as he steps up to the mound Tuesday night at the Chicago Cubs game vs. the visiting Cincinnati Reds.
And no, it's by no means the worst first pitch ever, there have been far worse this season, it does qualify as the worst one so far this week.
So we'll share it: (Thanks mlb.com)

Charles Barkley's Golf Swing: The Gift that Keeps on Giving
((ht: foxsports.com/big-buzz))
Thank you Charles Barkley for reminding all of us who struggle at the game of golf that there is hope.
Your swing...with it's various hitches, stops and starts and your inability to hit the ball very far encourages everyone who shoots in the 100's that we aren't the worst golfers on the planet.
And we admire you for the simple fact that as bad as you are, you still play. You still seem to be enjoying every minute on the course even if an armada of cameras follow your every move, recording your shanks and slices.
If you've never seen the Chuckster hit golf balls before, behold now. It's well worth your time:

Donald Sterling Needs To Stop, Barkley Addresses It...
((HT: TMZ Sports))
Somehow, and the HQ has an idea how, an audio recording surfaced where it appears that (someone who might be) LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling cannot get out of his own way- again...
When he first bought the Clips in 1981, he didn't invest in them and they were an awful franchise...
Then, he invested, and you see how things are when you leave the franchise alone and let people do their job...
But, Sterling just reinforced he is an old, white owner with plantation tendencies...
Here is an exchange with his current girlfriend, V. Stiviano, about her Instagramming habits that included a picture of Magic Johnson. Sterling didn't like Stiviano- who is of mixed race- having blacks on her account...and doesn't want them at HIS games.
There's an obvious background that we all have no idea about that caused "someone" to record the conversation in the first place. But, regardless of the recording surfacing, one person being aware or two (which lends itself to the legality of the recording in some states in the first place)- the content is troubling...
Very troubling... from an older, white gentleman discussing the races...
NBA spokesman Mike Bass had this statement: "We are in the process of conducting a full investigation into the audio recording obtained by TMZ. The remarks heard on the recording are disturbing and offensive, but at this time we have no further information."
Sterling has a history of not playing well with others. In 2006, he was sued by the Justice Department for allegations of housing discrimination in the Koreatown part of Los Angeles. Three years later, he was told to pay almost $3-million to settle the case. And in 2011, he was involved in an age discrimination case with his former GM, Elgin Baylor. Sterling would, eventually, win that case.
Ugh...
Charles Barkley was Charles Barkley and he was 100-percent correct...as were Shaq, Kenny, and EJ...

College Analyst Charles Barkley May Be More Fun Than NBA Version
((HT: Larry Brown Sports/CBS Sports))
Halftime of the Florida-UCLA game gave Charles the opportunity to reflect on 1984 and what has happened since according to a CBS graphic...
And, then, Round Two came after Shaq (who was not there in studio) Tweeted to Charles about his opening salvo...
Words of warning...
Do not...
Ever...
Give Charles any ammunition to come after you...
Never...

Things Seen on TV: Charles Barkley Play's Beer Pong Live
((ht: YouTube/cnntvabletv))
When did it become okay to drink beer on live TV?
Oh, wait, that happens at Sporting events all the time.
Apparently, it now happens on Headline News (CNN) as well.
Thursday afternoon, NBA Basketball legend and TNT Inside the NBA co-host Charles Barkley appeared on Headline News in the middle of the afternoon (No, we have no idea what the show is called).
Somehow, in the middle of his segment, Barkley and the three people that we've never heard of got into a conversation about "Beer Pong".
And that's when the interview moved from the anchor table, to the "Beer Pong" table. It was portrayed as spontaneous, though the show had the table--and beers ready to go when called on.
You really do need to watch it though, Barkley's dry humor while playing is truly hilarious. At the end he says "Why would you work so hard to do this, when I was at Auburn we just picked up the beer and drank it".
Priceless--

Charles Barkley Takes Shot at Alabama on National TV
((ht: larrybrownsports.com))
Okay, this is pretty funny. Though we suspect the folks at the University of Alabama probably don't think so.
TNT NBA Analyst Charles Barkley, an Auburn grad with--let's just say a pretty good sense of humor--had a little fun with the University of Alabama football player arrests from earlier in the week.
Check out this video of Sir Charles wearing a bandage with an alleged blood spot. He describes, jokingly, going to Tuscaloosa to congratulate the Crimson Tide and getting mugged and his credit cards stolen.
Hilarity ensues....sort of.

Mayor of San Antonio has last word with Charles Barkley
Wow!
This war of words is both funny and a bit surprising.
Apparently the battle began a couple of weeks ago when Charles Barkley of Inside the NBA fame and other things went on a bit of a rant against San Antonio.
Let's just say the "Chuckster" said some unkind things in a very lame attempt at being funny, about the women of San Antonio. (Note--we aren't passing judgement on the truth of the statement. We've never been there)
Apparently the mayor of San Antonio, Juan Castro heard enough. He posted a video to YouTube in, well, I guess you can say rebuttal to "The Round Mound of Rebound".
And props to Mr. Castro for his...shall we say, biting sense of humor.
Well done sir.

Charles Barkley Has Issues With The Atlanta Hawks
And, for the most part, he's right...
Josh Smith wants nothing to do with the paint and the other big men are locked in to being nothing more than mediocre...
They'll be nothing more than average- relying on 21st century versions of Tracy McGrady and Jerry Stackhouse to fill the bench...
But Charles, probably, didn't care that his mic was hot on International League Pass...
((HT: NBA on TNT/youtube))
The HQ laughs at his correctness...
