Katie Nolan Calls Out Entire Fox Sports 1 Team; All of Them

Okay, admittedly, we knew that Brother Jon followed Katie Nolan of FS1, but we didn't. Partially because, well, we weren't really sure about the whole Fox Sports thing. Though admittedly, we think Jay and Dan are funny.

But anyway...

Perhaps the most interesting of them all-- Katie Nolan. We'd heard she has some fun and different takes on things, but apologetically, we haven't paid attention to them.

Until now.

Check out Katie as she tries to get her friends at FS1 a little more love--by throwing a few darts. And yeah, at the beginning, she makes a really good point. It was scary to see how much Internet attention a Bill Simmons Twitter rant drew on Thursday.

Anyway, here's Katie's take on her co-workers, good, bad---or hoping they were uglier...

Magic Goes High Road, Marques Puts Sterling On Blast

((HT: TMZ Sports/Fox Sports))

It's time to talk about two Johnsons...

Get your head out of the gutter...

Magic Johnson got his time with Anderson Cooper Tuesday evening, but before that he got his time on the phone with Harvey Levin to discuss the kind of help he thinks Donald Sterling- completely going high-road on the whole deal...

Here's his appearance on AC360 as a follow-up
((HT: CNN))

At the same time, Marques Johnson has a seemingly-standard story about Donald Sterling that just reinforces how out of touch he is

Blast, blast, blast...

ICYMI: Andy Roddick Drills Fox Sports Hosts With Tennis Balls

Wait, what?

Yeah, you might of missed this unless you are one of the small group of people who watch the nightly Fox Sports Live show on the FS1 Cable network.

And quite honestly, we aren't in that group of people.

But, videos from 2 of the hosts, Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole seem to always find their way to the Internet. And they are quite often pretty funny.

So we thought we'd share in case you missed it too.

Check out the hijinks...and screams of pain as Jay and Dan challenge co-host (and former Tennis player) Andy Roddick to see how hard he can hit tennis balls at them.

We suggest you listen with the audio up full:

Jay And Dan Investigate The Stray Dog Situation

((HT: Fox Sports 1))

Jay and Dan are still not covering everything you can't cover in Sochi

Resident snowboard analyst Andy Finch had an issue come up with the stray dogs in town...
So, that meant an investigation was at hand...

Jay And Dan Investigate Sochi Toilets

((HT: Fox Sports Live))

As well they should...

Since they have access to only a certain number of places... one of those places that has given the world a lot of consternation is the bathroom...

Is all this squawking about loos just a waste of paper or is it driving the bus...???

No Access No Problem: Fox Sports Live Tours Sochi

((ht: foxsports.com))

Haha! Yeah, sure not many people watch Fox Sports 1 and their signature show hosted by Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole, but if you don't, this is what you're missing.

Both guys are excellent sports guys and really, really funny.

Their bosses at Fox Sports decided the duo should be with the rest of the world's assembled Sports Media at the Sochi Olympics. At those Olympics, unless you work for NBC Network, you have access to virtually nothing.

This is Jay and Dan giving a tour of what they have access to:

Score One For Katie Nolan... Her First Pipe Bomb Hits Reilly

((HT: FS1))

Any chance the HQ gets to throw stones at someone we don't like (and the list is a very small one, by the way), we'll give a shout out for the benefit of the rest of us...

The background:

Regis Philbin is leaving Fox Sports 1 and his hosting gig at "Crowd Goes Wild"- which is somewhat understandable since the hiring, while interesting, may not have fit what Fox was looking for demographically when the network launched.

Rick Reilly, over at the four-letter, decided to throw a few stones...
The biggest one referring to Reege as the "little guy in the makeup..." during Media Day

So, co-host Katie Nolan went off and dropped a pipe bomb on Reilly...

The HQ now likes Katie Nolan and continues laughter at Rick Reilly since his comments that only attempt to be funny make you out to be a bully, now coming across as someone who finds humor in things the rest of us do not, and recycling material that only makes you come across as old, tired, and creatively lazy...

Carry on...

Fox Sports Has Golf Now, U.S. Open Moves To The Globe In 2015

Starting in 2015 the U.S. Open and all USGA events will be seen on Fox Sports.

The USGA announced Wednesday they have reached a 12 year deal with Fox Sports to broadcast the U.S Open, U.S. Women's Open, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Amateur and other USGA events.

“We’re looking forward to FOX Sports becoming home to the preeminent golf championship in the world,” FOX Sports co-president and COO Eric Shanks said. “We’re committed to elevating coverage of USGA events on every level, infusing them with a new energy and innovation that will make every championship the best golf event on television.”

Put Gus Johnson in the tower at 18 and that will infuse new energy.

Perhaps the face of Fox Sports Joe Buck will be there.  As long as the globe brings Roger Maltbie over from the peacock that would ideal.

The USGA wants to capitalize on Fox Sports' multi-platforms including the soon-to-be launched mobile app Fox Sports Go to establish the U.S. Open brand as well as providing greater visibility of amateur events through unique story telling.

In other words the soon-to-be launched Fox Sports 1 just received more content and a big time event.

Financial terms were not released but I'm sure the USGA won't go broke.
