QB Catches TD Pass From Himself

((HT: North Greenville/Lost Letterman))

The HQ has seen this before, but it's still pretty cool when it goes down...
Like last year with Nick Marshall...

So, we have our new example... North Greenville University QB Nelson Hughes.

Against Mars Hill University on Saturday Hughes pulled this off for a 47-yard score, but NGU lost to Mars Hill 30-27

Still cool, though...

A Heck Of A One Handed Catch By Kentucky's Javess Blue

This great one-handed catch by Kentucky's Javess Blue was a thing of beauty.

“I had to make the catch." Blue said  "I just squeezed the ball tight and prayed that I held it and was in bounds and then still happened to have it. I was like, ‘Where’s my other arm?’ I had to think about it for a minute and then I realized the cornerback had my arm so I just had to reach for it with my right. I am looking forward to seeing it on TV. I’ll be up and ready. It’s probably not the best catch I’ve ever made, but it’s up there.”

Is their video evidence of that better catch.

By the way after falling behind 14-3 to Louisiana-Monroe Kentucky scored 45 unanswered points to win 48-14.

The Wildcats 5-1 start is their best since 2007,

Souza's Grab Preserves Nats No-No

((HT: MLB.com/MASN))

Steven Souza was put into left field for defensive purposes sunday afternoon...

Now, all of us know why...

Jordan Zimmerman went the distance for the first no-hitter in Nationals history. The opposing pitcher in the 1-0 win was Henderson Alvarez for the Marlins. If that name is familiar to you, it's because he had a no-hitter on the last day of the 2013 regular season.

The Nats won their 96th game of the season 30 games over .500 as they get ready for the post-season...

Makes you wonder who will get the no-hitter going against Zimmerman on the last day of the 2015 season...

Just sayin'...

Not Quite Rodney McCray, But...

((HT: Birmingham Barons))

Michael Earley caught the ball to left, but almost caught a lot more...

"Catch of the Year" candidate fer sure, but the Barons need to check on the catch on the outfield door...

J.J. Whorton With The Catch Of The Year For Central Florida

Central Florida was trailing Temple 36-29 with two minutes left and then J.J. Whorton did this.

"Honestly it's a blur right now to me," Worton said. "Everyone is talking about it. I'll have to see if on film to remember it. I remember I caught it and after that everyone else was yelling and crazy. All glory to God right now. I couldn't be more happy with the team right now. It's a great day for UCF."

Whorton's touchdown just tied the game.  It took this Blake Bortles to Rannell Hall 64 yard completion....

To set up Shawn Moffitt's game winning field goal.

The Knights escaped Philly with a 39-36 win over Temple.

"I told the players when they go to church tomorrow, make sure they're in the front pew,"  UCF head coach George O'Leary said. "Somebody's looking out for them. That's why you never, never give up. That's the resiliency of the team."

Play Of The Day Involves A Lot of Fumbles

((HT: Erik Tesauro))

Sacred Heart and Monmouth...

It's a catch, a strip, a fumble, a recovery, a strip, another fumble, and the receiver that started the play with a catch finishes it with a touchdown...

See...???

So, if you're scoring...

RJ Noel passes to Moses Webb for 23-yards
Webb fumbles as it was forced by Monmouth's Pat Gray
Ify Asoluka recovers fumble for 7-yards
Asoluka fumbles
Webb recovers the fumble and runs 51 yards for touchdown

Got all that...???

The Ohio State's Devin Smith With The Catch Of The Day

Those of us at the OSG HQ love this catch by Ohio State’s Devin Smith.  Our leader in the clubhouse for catch of the year.
