How About A Fat Guy TD Out Of The Wildcat???

((HT: ESPN))

Yes, please...

James Castleman, from the one, for Oklahoma State sent his 290-pounds downhill for Oklahoma State against Washington in the Cactus Bowl (formerly the Insight Bowl)

JJ Watt Scores Again

((HT: NFL on CBS))

Which now makes 4 TD's on the season- 2 offensive and 2 defensive...

This time, he goes all out for the 2-yarder from Ryan Mallett

For the record, Watt became the first defensive lineman since 1948 to have four touchdowns in a season tying the mark of Jack Zilly of the Rams and Ray Poole of the New York Giants.

Makes you wonder what Chris Kirksey was thinking trying to defend THAT

How Many Of You Had JJ Watt At Receiver In Fantasy...???

((HT: PDS Vine))

The answer is: NONE OF YOU!!!

But this happened in the Texans-Raiders game...

Do what you need to succeed...

That is all...

Bill O'Brien will never tell us on what exact page that play is on, but it worked...

A Tricky Throwback In St Pete

((HT: ESPN))

Since East Carolina was fighting for a 10-win season in Conference USA, but they had to get through Ohio U to do it...

In front of friends and family at the Suncoast Dome (you know... where the Devil Rays play baseball), Vintavious Cooper ran for 198 yards and Shane Carden was 29-for-45 for 273 yards and a score as the Pirates won 37-20...

Carden even caught a TD pass from Cam Worthy to put the Pirates up 31-20 half way through the fourth...

OSG High: A Very Special Texas Touchdown

((HT: Amarillo Globe News/Beilue))

This story comes out of Amarillo and reminds us what's important and reinforces high school football's place in it...

In the Memphis-Stratford game last Friday, the winner wasn't in much doubt. A 35-0 score was on the books late in the fourth quarter, and Memphis coach Andy Correll had an idea that he went over with his counterpart, Eddie Metcalf.

Correll wanted to have Kenbriel Hearn score in his senior season...

Hearn, as far back as July, was a star running back for the team. But he suffered two strokes within ten days of each other.

Hearn wanted to be a part of his team, and Correll had a great idea...

The whole piece by Beilue is worth your time...

Gallaudet Wins As Time Expires, Too...

((HT: Matt Hinton/Gallaudet Bison))

You know about the Nebraska Hail Mary for their win, but this one came to us from Matt Hinton...

Gallaudet's Chris Papacek blocked a Becker College 31-yard field goal with two seconds left with the score tied at 34's.
Ryan Bonheyo gets the scoop and score as time ran out- 79 yards for the 40-34 win.

The Bison are now 8-0...
Here's your proof...

Well done, y'all...

Play Of The Day Involves A Lot of Fumbles

((HT: Erik Tesauro))

Sacred Heart and Monmouth...

It's a catch, a strip, a fumble, a recovery, a strip, another fumble, and the receiver that started the play with a catch finishes it with a touchdown...

See...???

So, if you're scoring...

RJ Noel passes to Moses Webb for 23-yards
Webb fumbles as it was forced by Monmouth's Pat Gray
Ify Asoluka recovers fumble for 7-yards
Asoluka fumbles
Webb recovers the fumble and runs 51 yards for touchdown

Got all that...???

Punt Return Of The Year Comes From D3...???

Yup...

It's only 75 yards in east-west distance, but Muskingum's Dominick Williams went the distance- and then some...

Muskingum still lost to Heidelberg 49-21

Your Normal, Every Day C-USA Buzzer Beater...

((HT: FS1))

This is what happens when you are hidden behind the Kentucky-Miss State game and some baseball game...

Marshall and Middle Tennessee State played it out to the bitter end. Logan Kilgore threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Tavarres Jefferson as time expired to give Middle Tennessee a 51-49 win...

Evidence Below...

Kilgore was 22-40 for 277 yards and 4TD's as the Blue Raiders are now 4-4 (2-2 in Conference USA).

Marshall is now 4-3 (2-1 in C-USA).

Oh... the touchdown pass...

Captain America Saves The Day Again...Pats Radio Explodes...

((HT: NFL on FOX))

All the Patriots had to do was go 70 yards in 63 seconds for the lead and, eventually, the win...

But the call of the day doesn't go to Thom Brennaman...
It goes to Bob Socci and Scott Zolak on Patriots radio... Zolak evoked memories of everything from Chris Kluwe and Clara Peller...

Listen to the call here...

Oh, Clara Peller...???

Now do you remember...???

But it will be an interesting week to see how the Pats deal with the losses of Aqib Talib and Danny Amendola...

Manning Throws For 7 Against Baltimore, Trevathan Almost Made It 8 Scores

Who thought that Peyton Manning would roll seven touchdowns against Baltimore for the season opener...???

Manning equalled a feat that hadn't been done in 44 years in the 49-27 win. Manning connected with Wes Welker, Julius Thomas, and Demaryius Thomas for two TDs each in piling up the most points scored on the Ravens in their 18-year history.

Manning was 27 of 42 for 462 yards with the seven TDs and no interceptions. He finished with a quarterback rating of 141.1.

Thomas led Denver receivers with 161 yards. Julius Thomas was the first Denver tight end to go over 100 yards receiving in a game since 2009- with an even 100.

Oh, by the way... Knowshon Moreno was the leading rusher with 28 yards on nine carries.

Joe Flacco was 34 of 62 passing for the Ravens for 362 yards, 2 TDs and 2 interceptions. One of those interceptions led to the only Broncos fail on the evening...

Danny Trevathan celebrated a little too early- fortunately it didn't cost the team since they were up 25 at the time...

5 Year Old Cancer Survivor Scores Browns TD

((HT: Newsnet5 Cleveland))

Ryan Encinas is surviving lung cancer at the age of 5, and recently celebrated two years of remission. The Cleveland Browns celebrated with him at "Family Night" practice at FirstEnergy Stadium by having him run for a 40-yard TD...

Here's the carry and celebration...
"That was cool," Browns QB Brandon Weeden said. "The kid's been through a lot. I do a lot of stuff back home with Children's Hospital, so every time something like that happens, it brings a lump to your throat."
The Littlest Heroes, a program that supports families with young cancer patients, worked with the Browns to arrange the carry for Encinas...

And, yes, the HQ agrees that it was cool...

ECU Takes A Page Out Of Nebraska Playbook...

((HT: WNCT-TV))

And not like they're starting to run the wishbone or anything like that...

Remember when the Cornhuskers turned their spring game into a celebration for a kid fighting brain cancer...???

The Pirates had 8-year-old Noah Roberts run a 50-yard score in for ECU. He suffers from neurofibromitosis- a disease that has brain tumors form (the tumors could be either benign or malignant) and Roberts has had to go through two surgeries to try and treat the condition...

Here's how they covered it in Greenville...

Danny Amendola Hurts An Old Guy

((HT: NFL on CBS/Awful Announcing))

AA gets the official heads-up on this one...

The Rams were trying to come back in their game with Minnesota where:

1) Adrian Peterson was running like he had a plane to catch and,
2) Blair Walsh was getting the HQ a LOT of fantasy points

But part of the game showed just how dangerous celebrations could be...
Danny Amendola scored a TD as he caught a pass from San Bradford and this happened...

Funny thing is... Amendola scored later on and tried to make amends by giving a football to the guy, but he gave it to the wrong guy since, probably, Guy Number One was getting medical attention and a new pair of glasses...

Taylor Martinez Is, Officially, Ridiculous...

And, early on in the Big 10/12/14 Championship Game, the only offense that Nebraska can talk about optimistically since they're getting smashed...

This was the most awesomest, ridiculous run of the season...
The HQ would recommend playing "Yakety Sax" underneath Gus while Martinez runs...

OSG High: Returning A Punt With A Punt... For A TD

((HT: Prep Rally))

The HQ couldn't resist this one- with it being all Canadian and that...

Apparently, in rules north of the Peace Bridge, you can return any dead ball-situation kick that clears ten yards ad advance it for a score...

Which these very quick-thinking high schoolers did in Winnipeg...

Winnipeg-Kelvin's staff gets our warmest regards on their knowing the whole play book...
