((HT: Will Brinson's Vine))
Here's the context...
Colts WR TY Hilton is a new dad this week and, pretty much, promised at least one touchdown for his new baby girl.
Here's what happened in the endzone after the score
See, the HQ told you it was cute...

OSG High: Kevin Turner's HS FB Team Honored On Anniversary
((HT: WSFA-TV))
It's the 30th anniversary season of the Prattville (AL) High football state championship and they were honored Friday night in front of their home crowd.
One of the stars of that squad was Kevin Turner- whose life the HQ has chronicled with his diagnosis of ALS and his battles over recognition of the disease by his former employer.
Full disclosure- the HQ donates to the Kevin Turner Foundation regularly as we do for other ALS charitable organizations.
Turner and his team were celebrated- as they should...
Here's the tribute of the special team with an equally special man in attendance
WSFA.com Montgomery Alabama news.
Others who graduated with Turner and the Prattville High Student Government Association raised more than $4,000 for his foundation and presented him the check at the game.
Here's the ceremony in full from Stacy Mills Facebook page

((HT: Tommy Beer's Vine))
All the HQ can really do is laugh and say: "Good for you..."
Just watch
See...???
Now, THAT was funny...

Zach Johnson Does Something Very Few Have In The Past
((HT: Golf Channel/USGA))
This happened for only the 44th time in US Open history as Zach Johnson hit a 7-iron from 172 yards with a lot of movement from left to right.
And, for the record, the HQ has never done this, either...
And we're not celebrating like that, either if we pull that shot off...

Falcons Bend To Jimmy Graham's Will...
And the goalpost at the Georgia Dome bent to Graham's will on his 44-yard TD catch and celebration

Manning Throws For 7 Against Baltimore, Trevathan Almost Made It 8 Scores
Who thought that Peyton Manning would roll seven touchdowns against Baltimore for the season opener...???
Manning equalled a feat that hadn't been done in 44 years in the 49-27 win. Manning connected with Wes Welker, Julius Thomas, and Demaryius Thomas for two TDs each in piling up the most points scored on the Ravens in their 18-year history.
Manning was 27 of 42 for 462 yards with the seven TDs and no interceptions. He finished with a quarterback rating of 141.1.
Thomas led Denver receivers with 161 yards. Julius Thomas was the first Denver tight end to go over 100 yards receiving in a game since 2009- with an even 100.
Oh, by the way... Knowshon Moreno was the leading rusher with 28 yards on nine carries.
Joe Flacco was 34 of 62 passing for the Ravens for 362 yards, 2 TDs and 2 interceptions. One of those interceptions led to the only Broncos fail on the evening...
Danny Trevathan celebrated a little too early- fortunately it didn't cost the team since they were up 25 at the time...

Stanley Cup Arrives In Chicago, It's Party On Chicago.
Early Tuesday morning Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews dropped by Harry Caray's Restaurant with the Stanley Cup.
The Stanley Cup arrived in O'Hare International Airport at 4:20am Tuesday morning.
And of course the party began in the Windy City including this shirtless dude who no doubt was feeling no pain.

Excessive Celebration...??? For The Canadians It Was...
((HT: Sportsnet/FAN 590))
Sydney Leroux was born in British Columbia, but now plays for the US Women's National Team...
She scored a goal late in the friendly (or not-so-friendly) at BMO Field in Toronto in a game that the Canadians called a revenge game for the incident in the five-ringed circus...
Remember...???
((HT: NBCSports/IOC))
So, Leroux scores the final goal in the 3-0 win for the U.S. team, and then celebrated by thumping the American badge on her jersey in front of Canadian fans in the south end of the stadium.
Sportsnet soccer commentator Gerry Dobson thinks so, telling Sportsnet 590 The FAN’s Brady and Lang that Leroux “threw gasoline on the fire” with that celebration.
Here was how they reacted on the tube in Canada... Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest...
So...??? Was it excessive...???
Leroux responded on her Twitter feed:
When you chant racial slurs, taunt me and talk about my family don't be mad when I shush you and show pride in what I represent.

OSG High: Act Of Faith Costs Athlete A Title Shot
((HT: KHOU-TV))
The HQ can't remember the last time something like this cost an athlete something- other than the occasional scoff from others for doing the act in public. But, now it seems that celebrating your God in public before crossing a finish line can cost you a win in high school.
A Columbus (TX) High school runner pointed skyward as his team was on their way to winning their relay race because according to UIL (the governing body for Texas high school athletics) by-laws, there can be no excessive celebration...
Really...???
Really...
Here's the rundown...
Runners do it all the time in sprint races... they're number one...
We get it...
If an athlete wants to do something like that to say someone else is number one and should get the credit... and it's not done overtly, then how is that different...???
Apparently to the UIL, it is...
The HQ doesn't quite think this is over...

Was Yakupov's Celebration Too Much...???
((HT: Sportsnet.ca))
Here's the question of the day...???
Was the goal celebration of Edmonton Oilers rookie Nail Yakupov not enough, just enough, or too much...??? Considering it was a game-tying goal and not a game-winner... considering he's a rookie fresh off the Draft...
Considering all of that stuff...
The "Hockey Central" folks discuss...
The HQ is somewhat torn on the decision... While we dig the celebration, and it reminds us of a young Ilya Kovalchuk ((HT: RDS/NHL))
It's prolly a little too soon for the slide and glide...

Danny Amendola Hurts An Old Guy
((HT: NFL on CBS/Awful Announcing))
AA gets the official heads-up on this one...
The Rams were trying to come back in their game with Minnesota where:
1) Adrian Peterson was running like he had a plane to catch and,
2) Blair Walsh was getting the HQ a LOT of fantasy points
But part of the game showed just how dangerous celebrations could be...
Danny Amendola scored a TD as he caught a pass from San Bradford and this happened...
Funny thing is... Amendola scored later on and tried to make amends by giving a football to the guy, but he gave it to the wrong guy since, probably, Guy Number One was getting medical attention and a new pair of glasses...
