Kanekoa Texeira was on his way out the door after giving up a bases-loaded walk that made a tight game between Gwinnett and Charlotte a little tighter...
But that didn't stop KT from dropping some of his gear along the way...
The HQ figures he didn't like the balls and strikes calls that were made against him while he was on the mound...
No word yet on whether or not Texeira got a fine from the league or his bosses over the jettisoning of his gear...

Mike Hessman Is Crash Davis
((HT: MiLB.com))
Mike Hessman can now attach his name to the International League history books with this swing of the bat
Hessman is swinging for the Toledo Mudhens these days. His last cup of coffee in the big leagues was four seasons ago and, in addition to the IL record, he has the active minor league home run record with 403.

Your Garden Variety, Game Ending Triple Play
((HT: MILB.com))
For those of you scoring at home (or on the road), it went into the books as 7-2-3-4...
So, instead of trying not to give up a game-tying homerun, the game ended with the action on the field...
Toledo beats Columbus 4-1

Wally Backman Still Takes No Guff...
((HT: ESPN/Time Warner Cable Sports))
The last the HQ saw former NY Mets second baseman Wally Backman as a manager, he was in south Georgia in the independent leagues...
You remember the "Playing for Peanuts" documentary...
These days, Backman is in triple-A with the Buffalo Bisons and he went at it the other night with Syracuse Chiefs manager Tony Beasley...
Here's the rant and the showdown...
