How About A Minor League Triple Play...???

((HT: MiLB.com))

Tulsa and Frisco... and, to be honest, the Drillers needed a bit of good news last night since they were trailing 8-2 at the time of this grounder to third...

5-4-3 is NOT the easiest triple play to turn, but Tulsa pulled it off.

It was an 8-2 final score and the Drillers are back at .500 with the loss at 61-61
Frisco is at 71-52 with the win

ICYMI: Penn State Baseball: Two Triple Plays in One Game

No really, this happened.

Not once...but twice. In the same game.

Check out the video from Friday's Penn State/Michigan State baseball game. It's not often you see a triple play in a baseball game. But in this game it happened twice.

In the 4th and in the 8th inning, a Michigan State hitter came to the plate with runners on and lined out. The baserunners, thinking the ball was going to go through, were on the move.

The rest is, well, video history. Though we should note, the pair of triple plays did not set, only tied an NCAA record

We should also add, despite the baserunning blunders, Michigan State still won the game, which was the 1st game of a doubleheader, 4-2. For whatever that's worth.

Ha!
