ICYMI: Only a Louisiana Guy Can Poke a Gator at a Golf Tournament

((ht: golfchannel.com))

Seeing an alligator on a golf course? Guaranteed it will make highlights in a televised tournament.

See a gator next to the green on the course during a PGA Tour Event, yep, the video will go viral.

Check out what happened when an alligator tried to move in on James Driscoll's golf ball during the Zurich Classic outside New Orleans.

That's when playing partner and Louisiana native John Peterson stepped in, grabbed a rake from the nearby sand trap and nudged the gator back into the green side lake.

Good TV, not something recommended for the kids at home and a highlight of the day.

PGA Golfer John Peterson Practices on I-20 During Ice Delay

By now most of you have seen images or heard about the ice and cold weather that paralyzed places from Texas all the way across the country and through the Northeast.

The ice storm in Texas caused havoc everywhere. Roads closed, people stranded in their cars or in whatever structure they happened to be in at the time.

Included in the mess, PGA Tour golfer John Peterson, who is originally from Fort Worth.

Peterson was among the many stranded on Interstate 20 Saturday, trying to stay busy on an icy 21 degree day.

And that's when he decided the best way to kill some time was practice.

On the highway...((don't try this at home kids))
