Okay...
How many of you remember this from the Final Four weekend...???
((HT: ESPN/NCAA))
The HQ didn't, but the folks in Indianapolis did...
So, as a result... the Baylor head coach has been given a one-game suspension for the March post-season tournament. The folks who run the college game also are holding the Bears championship per diem for the regional round...
Which, probably hurts more than the suspension does...
Mulkey, in the eyes of the NCAA, is a repeat offender. She was reprimanded in 2011 for criticizing the NCAA when they put texas A&M in her bracket- a team it had faced three times that season. Texas A&M won the game in the tourney and the national title.
"The committee unanimously felt that the behavior of Coach Mulkey was unacceptable and has no place in the women's basketball championship," said Carolayne Henry, committee chair and senior associate commissioner for the Mountain West Conference.
And there you go...

Baylor Women Knocked Out By The Other Louisville
((HT: KWTX-TV))
A lot of people, okay... everyone... is calling the Baylor exit from the Women's tournament as one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) upset in tournament history...
The Louisville Cardinals hit 16-of-25 from three-point (which is absurd), hung around, hung around some more, and hit two free throws with less than 3 seconds left in regulation for the 82-81 win.
Baylor was winners of 74 of their last 75 games, defending national champion, and all of that important stuff...
So much for all that important stuff...
Here's what Baylor had to deal with in a team that didn't back down...
((HT: ESPN/NCAA))
The applause you heard was from Notre Dame, UConn, and everyone else left in the tournament that won't have to deal with the most dominant player of this era.
Louisville is 27-8 and was part of all four 6-seeds making it to the Sweet 16, and now they're one going a little further than Delaware.

Baylor's Mulkey Diagnosed With Bell's Palsy
((HT: KWTX-TV Waco))
The assembled media was at Baylor University thinking they were just going to get an update before the Lady Bears were to make their way to Denver for the women's hoops finals. But the media were given a different, and more sobering, story.
Head women's coach Kim Mulkey has been given a Bell's Palsy diagnosis...
From the Baylor Bears website:
"I noticed while we were in Des Moines last week that my tongue felt strange. Yesterday I noticed when I smiled, only the left side of my mouth was working. Also, my right eye was drooping and I couldn't hear properly out of my right ear. Our trainer, Alex Olson, examined me before practice and it was decided I needed immediate medical care. Instead of going to practice, I went to the doctor," said Mulkey.
Bell's Palsy is a form of facial paralysis resulting from a dysfunction of the facial nerve (cranial nerve VII) that results in the inability to control facial muscles of the affected side. The condition usually has a rapid onset of partial or complete paralysis that often occurs overnight.
The facial nerve passes through a small canal in the skull beneath the ear. It is thought that an inflammatory condition causes the facial nerve to swell which leads to compression of the nerve as it passes through the canal. While the exact cause of the swelling is unknown, many physicians believe the cause may be due to a virus.
"Coach Mulkey is being treated with an anti-viral medication along with oral steroids to reduce the inflammation of the facial nerve," Olson said.
