Columbus, Ohio police have confirmed that the body found near Ohio State University this afternoon was that of walk-on senior lineman Kosta Karageorge. He had been missing since the early morning hours Wednesday and was last known to have sent a disturbing message to his family about how concussions have impacted his time on campus.
Susan Karageorge told NBC4 her son sent her the following text: "Sorry if I am an embarrassment, but these concussions have my head all (expletive) up."
11Warriors reports that Columbus PD Sgt. Rich Weiner said Karageorge died from what's believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Karageorge was honored along with his fellow seniors on game day at The Horseshoe

Karageorge's body was found less than half-a-mile from his apartment.

OSG High: HS Hoopster Hits Game-Winner 9 Days After Being Shot

Orr Academy's Tyquone Greer was shot nine days ago at a party...
He missed the team's sectional final, and could only play a few minutes in the super-sectional final.
But those minutes he played were huge as he did this...
“If we were going to lose, I wanted to be out there on the court with my teammates,” the senior said, according to High School Cube. “We’ve been through a lot together over four years. If it was going to be somebody’s fault, I would rather it have been mine. That’s why I kept telling him to put me in the game.”
This will be Orr's second straight trip to the Class 3A Final Four in Peoria.

Oscar Pistorius Trial Day 12- Was Evidence Moved...???

That's the contention of the defense if you look at the photos of the crime scene...
Oscar Pistorius' lead attorney, Barry Roux, has been trying to deconstruct testimony line-by-line with every prosecution witness that comes up onto the witness stand. Roux tried grilling the police photographer today...
The police ballistics expert was also on the stand trying to explain point-by-point how he reconstructed the scene of the gunshots and positions he thought successfully demonstrated the death of Reeva Steenkamp.

Oscar Pistorius Trial: Day 5- Security Guard Told Everything's "Fine"

The activity in Day Five of the Pistorius trial centered around a former girlfriend of his who said that the sprinter always carried a gun with him, waved it around in front of her, and shot a hole in the sunroof of a car they were travelling in.
Samantha Taylor also said that she broke off her relationship with Pistorius when she discovered that he was cheating on her with Steenkamp.
After Taylor, a security guard for the subdivision was called to testify about the night of the Steenkamp shooting...
Pieter Baba was driving with another security guard in the subdivision when he was notified by neightbors over what they thought sounded like a disturbance with gunfire. Baba testified that he contacted Pistorius. Pistorius responded that everything was "fine."

Oscar Pistorius Trial: Day Three

The prosecution continues to build its case against Oscar Pistorius on Day Three...
They introduced a friend who Pistorius allegedly asked to take the blame after a pistol was accidentally fired in a Johannesburg restaurant weeks before the double-amputee runner fatally shot Reeva Steenkamp.
Kevin Lerena said the restaurant shooting happened when he, Pistorius, and two other friends were in a restaurant in January 2013. One of the friends passed his gun to Pistorius under the table and told him that there was a bullet in the chamber, Lerena said. Then a shot went off, puncturing the floor near Lerena's foot had been.
Lerena said that Pistorius asked for Lerena to take the heat because he (Pistorius) didn't want any more hype surrounding him at that time.

Hernandez Associate In Another Gunfight

You may remember the name Alexander Bradley in our coverage of the Aaron Hernandez investigation(s)...
He was the gentleman who claimed that Hernandez had him sit as a passenger in a car Hernandez was driving when Bradley claimed the former Patriots tight end shot him- eventually causing him to lose the sight in his right eye...
Bradley is suing Hernandez because of the incident last February...
Bradley was brought into the Hartford Police Department Monday to be booked after an overnight shooting outside the Vevo bar in Hartford. HPD is, basically, saying that Bradley and the others who were involved in the fight shot up the front of the bar. Police believe that the fight started inside, went outside, and Bradley was shot multiple times.
Investigators are saying he then went to his car, got a firearm, and returned fire...
Monday evening, the thoughts now are that Bradley and the person who shot him were arguing over money...
The press conference also revealed that the gun Bradley used was one of 111 guns that had been stolen out of a collection...

"Macho" Camacho Shot, In Critical Condition... (UPDATED w/Camacho On Life Support)

The former 3-class titleholder in boxing was apparently shot in the face while in a car outside a bar in the Puerto Rico city of Bayamon.
A second man also was shot and killed, but local police don't know if there was any relationship between Camacho and the second gentleman.
Police have no idea on a motive for the shooting at present, but claim to have a suspect in custody...
Depending on which media outlet you get your information from at present, Camacho is being treated for a gunshot wound to the face that may or may not have penetrated two of his cervical vertebrae...
Here's the update with the lead physician at the Centro Medico hospital in San Juan...

The other gentleman in the car who was shot and killed has now been identified as Adrian Alberto Mojica Moreno. ESPN has more from their sources: Mojica Moreno's relationship to Camacho wasn't immediately known, but on Wednesday, detective Alex Diaz told ESPN.com that Mojica Moreno had nine bags of cocaine in his possession with a 10th bag open in the Ford Mustang, which was registered to Mojica Moreno. He had been arrested for possession of controlled substances in April 2012, according to Diaz. Here's the morning update from Telemundo...
