This might be the next step in hooliganism- the HQ is still trying to figure out if this move below was a genius one-off or the beginning of something that could get infinitely more dangerous over time.
Serbia and Albania were going at it in the first half of their Euro 2016 qualifier when someone got very ingenious with their attempt at game interruption. This, folks, was no black lab...
When you wave an Albanian flag in Belgrade, it's the equivalent of waving something in a bull's face in the ring.
UEFA had banned Albanian fans from being in the building, so someone decided to fly the drone. The Albanian flag had a map of Kosovo and the message 'autochthonous', meaning indigenous- drooping from the craft.
That's when players and fans all got into it. Serbian defender Stefan Mitrovic pulled the flag down and that act seemed to start it.
The political background for all of this dates back to 1999 when NATO had an almost three-month long air war to stop the killing and expulsion of ethnic Albanians in Kosovo by Serbian forces. Kosovo declared independence in 2008, but this is not recognized by Serbia. Adding to that, seven of Albania's squad were born in the Kosovo region.
The match was abandoned and may not have been a good idea in the first place.
According to Reuters, the brother of Albanian Prime Minister was arrested in the V.I.P Box and was found with a remote.
'He was arrested on suspicion that he masterminded and executed the incident in which a flag with a map of greater Albania was flown over the pitch and the terraces, after which the match between Serbia and Albania was abandoned."

Aleshin Crash Overshadows IndyCar Finale
((HT: IndyCar Series/IMS Radio Network))
This is flat out scary from Friday night's practice at the Fontana Speedway in the concluding race of the 2014 IndyCar season involving Mikhail Aleshin and the low groove.
Aleshin was listed in serious but stable condition with a with a concussion, fractured ribs, a broken right clavicle and chest injuries. Qualifying had been frozen at the time of the wreck and Aleshin, actually, had the 8th fastest time on the grid for the season finale.
Sadly, Fontana has had a lot of wrecks in the track's IndyCar history including racers like Will Power, AJ Allmendinger, Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, and Takuma Sato. Greg Moore passed during the 1999 race at Fontana from injuries he received in his crash.

11-Year-Old Keeps Debate Going At US Open
((HT: Golf Channel/USGA))
Lucy Li qualified for the US Women's Open at Pinehurst...
Lucy Li is 11 and has elicited the opinion of every golfer playing against her at Pinehurst. Some like the idea and some don't. But the bottom line is that she qualified and shot an opening round 78.
She thought it as pretty cool...
Here's the highlights from Day One
So, dear reader, what say you...???
Should Lucy Li be around at the age of 11...???

((HT: ESPN))
And, in doing it, Morgan Shepherd would break his own record...

Here's an interview Shepherd did with Ricky Craven around the qualifying run last year at NHMS...
The HQ wishes the most luck to Shepherd and hope he makes the field...

San Marino Actually Scored
((HT: TalkSport))
It took the tiny principality of San Marino five years to do it, but Alessandro Della Valle put the ball in the net against Poland yesterday...
First goal in five years... not bad off the set piece...
They would go on to lose 5-1, but hey, they put one in the net...
It's progress...
