((HT: ESPN/FIFA))
And you KNOW that the Argentinian futbol fans are going to want the head of the Colombian soccer squad after what went down in the 88th minute of Brazil's 2-1 win in the quarterfinals.
Juan Camilo Zuniga went high and the diagnosis is a broken vertebrae.
Now Brazil will not have Neymar or Thiago Silva for the Germany semi-final.

OSG UEFA: Chelsea Climbs Ladder At Home, Real Survives In Quarters
((HT: UEFA/beINSport))
Chelsea had only one thing in their pocket going into the second leg of the Champions League quarters...
The one road goal...
Losing 3-1 wasn't all bad. It just had to be done at home by a two-goal margin...
And thanks to Schurrle and Ba... (who had those two in the fantasy league scoring column...?)
They advance to the semis with a 2-0 win...
Chelsea is now in the last four for the seventh time in the last 11 years.
And, in the other quarter of the day, Real Madrid sat an injured Cristiano Ronaldo from their starting XI. Lewandoski was starting for Borussia Dortmund and they needed some help. But they had to score a little more than they did by the end...
A 2-0 final kept them a goal short of advancing...
Bayern Munich hosts Manchester United Wednesday, and Barcelona takes on Atletico Madrid after both first legs ended 1-1 in the other quarterfinals match-ups.

What's The 411 On Canada's Lack Of Offense...???
((HT: Sportsnet))
It showed in the barrage against Latvian goalie Kristers Gudlevskis- who stopped 53 of 55 shots against Team Canada...
And the HQ has seen, like the rest of the world, that the Canadian defense has more points in the Sochi tournament than the front lines... and THAT is the cause of concern as they head into the semi-finals against Team USA
Tim and Sid discuss...
Steve Yzerman chose wisely when he drafted him for the Lightning's depth in the position...

USA-Russia WJC Quarters Ends In Monkey Gestures
((HT: TSN/IIHF))
Just when you thought the youth of the world were getting along in the sports world, and the idea that detente was a surviving model of diplomacy forgot to tell the Russian squad at the end of the World Juniors quarterfinal today in Sweden.
Here's the highlights from beginning to end, and the last minute or so are the cute gestures...
To recap, Team USA's Matt Grzelcyk blew a tire and it led to the open-net goal by Russia's Pavel Buchnevich.
Buchnevich decided to rub the USA's nose in it and Blackhawks draftee Ryan Hartman popped him...
Which was nice- although a just-as-violatory move in The Code as the Russian celebration...
And what was the whole "fire hose" move, anyway...???
We know... the HQ just wanted to know if you were paying attention...
