OSG Prem: Arsenal's Wenger Has Fan Storming In Front Of Him

((HT: ArsenalGunnersTV))

Expect Southampton to get a letter from the FA over this action from one of their fans in the 2-0 win over Arsenal this afternoon

SkySports has the details of the arrest/storming:

The suspect, from Lymington, Hampshire, was still being questioned on Thursday night by Hampshire Constabulary officers.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: "Police have arrested a 25-year-old man from Lymington following an incident on the pitch at St Mary's at the end of the Southampton versus Arsenal match.

"The man was arrested on suspicion of going in to an area adjacent to the playing area contrary to the Football (Offences) Act 1991.

"The man remains in police custody. Officers are investigating the circumstances to establish whether any criminal offences have been committed."

Russian Premier Game Abandoned, Fan Takes Swing At Captain

((HT: The Score/HQ Football240))

Here's a good way to get a match abandoned- a court storming
In the 88th minute, fans from Zenit St. Petersburg came onto the pitch with their team trailing Dynamo Moscow 4-2

And the long version

Watch one of the Zenit ultras (the shirtless guy wearing the black gloves) try to take a swing at Dynamo captain Vladimir Granat

Andre Villas-Boas is in charge at Zenit, but apparently that's only on the pitch. And their title coronation imploded thanks to their own fans. The team is one point ahead of the Russian Premier table with two games left.

Fans hurt storming Oklahoma State field

College football fans can be idiots sometimes.
Fans storm field

It's the only logical reason why 13-plus people were injured, 2 critically when students and fans at Oklahoma State stormed the field late Saturday night after their Cowboys beat the University of Oklahoma 44-10.

And yes, we know the game is called "Bedlam". It's not a good excuse.

Fans were trampled, and at least one person fell 15 feet onto a concrete slab. They tore down the goalposts and you can see people dangling from those goalposts as they are carted through the stadium.

At least 9 ambulances were called to the scene and it took police nearly an hour to clear the field.

KJRH-TV in Tulsa has video of what happened:

Sorry, we know college students and college football fans can be idiots and do stupid things (like storm fields), but there is no excuse for this. This is why there needs to be either a) better security at games or a b) a bigger separation between fans and the fields to where they just can't hop over.

It sounds like they were not prepared for the mess in Stillwater and it showed. It also showed the fans have a long way to go to prove they belong with the "Big Boys".
