OSG Prem DEVELOPING: AVB Out At Spurs
5-0 losses to Liverpool will do that for you...
This is what happened over the weekend when the Reds absolutely wiped the floor with Spurs...
Andre Villas-Boas sounded like a guy lobbying for his job after the match- which he should have been...

But, today, the club had had enough of the lack of an offense and a porous defense...
"The club can announce that agreement has been reached with head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services.
"The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties."
The odds on favorites right now to replace AVB are: former England boss Fabio Capello, now in charge of Russia's National Team, Spurs' current director of football and Capello's assistant at the Football Association, Franco Baldini, former Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle and Swansea manager Michael Laudrup.

OSG Prem: Jol Out At Fulham... Seems Shocked... Plus Others Are Gone...
And, he's not the only one...
After fading at the end of last year, barely staying in the Premier League, and losing five in a row this season Fulham owner Shahid Khan sacked manager Martin Jol...
“Our poor form and results this season are undeniable, and Fulham supporters deserve better,” said Khan in a statement. “With more than half the season still ahead, an immediate change was necessary.”
Rene Meulensteen had been brought in as the number two just recently and now, he has the gig- whether it's temporary or permanent. Odds are, it's the latter unless results change drastically...
Which the HQ doesn't anticipate any time soon...

Not to be outdone, Wigan sacked Owen Coyle after three losses in a nine-day period- all of them at home.
And the next manager on the block could Spurs' Andre Villas-Boas...
A lack of offense and a stagnant squad is causing the vultures to circle...
The players are behind their manager, but they need to improve their results instead of smacking the gums...

OSG Prem: Spurs Surrender Six To City...

So much for having the toughest defense in the League...
13 seconds in, Jesus Navas placed a beautiful shot in the upper corner against Tottenham and it was profoundly downhill after that...
Manchester City gets 3 in each half and wins 6-nil at the Etihad...
The blowout win puts City up to fourth in the league with a league-leading goal differential of +21.
The loss is the worst in the league for Tottenham since a 6-1 loss to Chelsea in 1998. The shutout for Spurs is also the first time they have scoreless in three straight games since January of 2009.
Here's a lot of City offense...

You Don't Want $80M...?? Okay, How About $85M??? Bale Not Real's Yet...
The HQ, admittedly, is a novice at this whole soccer football thing...
But we do know that Tottenham Hotspurs Gareth Bale had a flat-out ridiculous season last year...
It was a coming out party...

It's no secret that Real Madrid are making some kind of play for him- even as Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas is denying that he'll go (or not) and that the transfer fee Real is ponying up has increased up to a world-record 100-million euros (or 86.3-million pounds)...
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has refused the offer flat and Bale is hot about it- in a bad way...
From the Guardian newspaper:
The situation has got under Bale's skin and it is threatening to turn ugly. He has had a glute muscle problem, which has restricted him in pre-season, but it has come to feel slightly convenient as he has been in no frame of mind to play. Bale featured in the club's opening friendly against Swindon Town but he missed the game against Colchester United and, although he travelled to Hong Kong for the Asia Trophy, he has not trained and he missed Tottenham's matches against Sunderland and South China.
After a 6-0 win in China, AVB wouldn't say anything on the ongoings...
"I don't want to comment on anything like that," Villas-Boas said. "I cannot speak about anything." The manager gave the same response to a question about Real's conduct.
Spurs are trying to shore up their scoring in case of a Bale exit. In the off-season, they are close to wrapping up the €30-million transfer order on Valencia striker Roberto Soldado. They have already signed the midfielder Paulinho for a club-record £17m from Corinthians and the winger Nacer Chadli for £7m from FC Twente.
But, that won't add up to Bale...
Zinedine Zidane (remember his head butt in the Worlds?) is now part of Real's front office and admits what everyone seems to know- except, maybe, Spurs:
“We have not given up on Gareth Bale – it is impossible to give up a player of that quality.
“Of course Tottenham are doing the right thing by trying to get him to sign a new contract.
“We have made it clear he is a target, but Real Madrid have a very good relationship with Tottenham so we would make sure any approach is done in the correct way.
“It is ideal to get any new players in as early as possible so they can integrate with the team – but it is not always possible and the best players are worth waiting for.”
And the HQ thinks this is only the beginning as the next move is, probably, a written request to go by Bale himself...

OSG Prem: Spurs Bale Goes Off

Spurs were hosting Newcastle this morning, HQ time, and it was another exhibition as to why Gareth Bale will not be long for Spurs and the big-name, big-money, teams will chasing after him...
Here's the stretched version of his efforts...
Bale looked like he could have scored his hat trick several times over in the 2-1 win. Going into the afternoon action, Tottenham were only one point behind Chelsea for fourth- four points ahead of Arsenal for fifth in the table and still good enough for Champions League status.

OSG Prem: Pardew Gets Sent Off For Push

Newcastle and Spurs was the last match-up of the day in the new Premier League season... and it didn't leave without a few fireworks...
Newcastle Manager Alan Pardew disagreed with a call from one of the referees and decided to give one of the AR's (Assistant Referees) a nudge to express some discontent...

Newcastle would, eventually, win 2-1 to create a new round of headaches for new Tottenham manager AVB. But the HQ expects Pardew to get a phone call from the league offices and be a little lighter in the wallet as a result...
