Clemson Takes Full Advantage Of Another Chance To Make A National Impression. Defeat Auburn 26-19

The last time we saw the Clemson Tigers they were manhandled by West Virginia giving up 70 points.
Saturday night at the Chik-Fil-A Classic at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta the Clemson had a second chance to make a impression nationally and took full advantage defeating Auburn 26-19.
Many things went right for Clemson but it just might have been the uniforms.  Clemson wore the orange shirt – white pants combo which is automatic during the Dabo Swinney era.  Clemson is now 14-0 and that ensemble since Swinney took over as head coach.

The Auburn defense couldn’t figure out how to stop Clemson running back Andre Ellington who rushed for a career high 231 yards on 26 carries. Ellington’s performance is the fifth most yards rushing in Clemson Tiger history.
"There's no doubt in my mind who the best player underneath this roof was tonight - without a doubt it was Andre Ellington.”  Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris said.  “He was on a mission. He was relentless."

DeAndre Hopkins filled the void left by the suspension of Sammy Watkins with a school record 13 catches for 119 yards.  Hopkins’ 12th catch put Clemson up for good.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, Andre Ellington, Brandon Ford, Jonathan Willard, and Rashard Hall share their thoughts after the game.  (Thanks WSPA-TV)
