Rivarly Week Primer: Mississippi St With Epic Egg Bowl Hype Video

This may be the best of the bunch.

The production team at Mississippi State has been outstanding this season, producing some quality work. Often mixing old footage with new and utilizing a good mix of music and natural sound.

And this video is no exception, it's tremendous.

HailState provides the pre game hype video for this years Egg Bowl. At least from the Bulldogs side. The game is being played in Oxford at Ole Miss, so this may...or may not show during the game.

Rivalry Week Primer: Arkansas With Hype Video for Missouri Game

It's not exactly a classic "rivalry", but it's a pretty big SEC game. Arkansas, winner of three straight SEC games squares off with Missouri.

For the Razorbacks, a bowl berth could be on the line, for the Tigers, win and they clinch the SEC East title and a shot at playing in the SEC Title game next week.

The Razorbacks appear to be ready as evidenced by this killer hype video. It's very well done, we like the colorization and graphics, well done Arkansas video team...

We've said repeatedly on this here website how much we love and enjoy watching hype videos. And quite honestly, the kids in the college video departments have gotten to be quite good at it.

The latest entry in the cool video sweepstakes comes to us from the Mississippi State video department who threw together this little entry to get their folks pumped for perhaps the biggest game this year, a battle with Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Maybe because we work in the video business. Maybe we just like cool stuff.

Whatever...

Check out the latest hype video produced by the talented guys at Georgia Football.

It's not long...nor is it incredibly fast paced. But it's effective in getting across it's message and exceptionally well edited and shot.

And yeah, the folks in Athens, besides their brain fart vs. Florida which cost them a shot at the College Football Playoff, are pretty excited to play SEC Rival Auburn this weekend.

New University of Maryland Hype Video: Promo or Ad for Under Armour

So, the folks at the University of Maryland appear to have paid a talented Video Producer a great deal of money to produce a highlight video to get them and their fans "Hyped" before Big 10 play.

And it's very well done. Slickly edited with lots of loud, looped AC/DC music.

But pay attention.

You do see some football.

And a really creepy looking in a killer clown kinda way turtle mascot.

Along with lots of tight shots of...

Wait for it....

Under Armour.

Now we aren't accusing anyone of anything, but we throw the question out there: Is this video done for Maryland...or is it done for Under Armoru?

Just asking...

Before it Begins: USA Soccer Hype Video Gets Everyone Excited for Game

Okay, call us suckers for a well produced video. After all, it's what we do for a living.

And yes, though many in the southern U.S still don't comprehend soccer on it's highest level, they have no idea what they are missing.

Fan or not a fan, it's quite well done. And honestly, it kinda gives you chills to watch--

Parents, please be careful that you don't watch this with your kids. There is a good possibility, they'll be scarred for life.

Sure, we, like most everyone else gets a kick out of seeing "Hype" or Dance videos created to pump up a College Football team or their fans.

But sometimes an idea that sounded fairly good on paper, doesn't necessarily translate so well to video.

Take this one produced by Oregon State for example--

In no particular order, it features:

A Beaver

A guy with a chainsaw looking vaguely Texas Chainsaw Massacare-ish

A group of people with chainsaws appearing to be pulling them, much in the manner one might do to--shall we say--pleasure themselves.

Cheerleaders

And did we say a Beaver?

While we get the reference of Beaver's chopping down trees, visually, it doesn't translate so well. Neither do the semi-diverse cheerleaders or for that matter the alleged creepy looking lumberjacks...

But the video still lives. Watch at your own risk:
