Video Of Gurley Signing Now Public

((HT: ESPN/McMurphy))

Brett McMurphy and Andy Staples caught up with the sports memorabilia collector that caused all the grief in and around Todd Gurley's ineligibility with the University of Georgia.

Bryan Allen says he didn't mean it and hates all the grief the incident caused:

"I can't change any of that stuff -- any of those emails, me talking to the school, how it was handled -- I can't change any of that," Bryan Allen said in his first interview since Gurley was suspended for four games after admitting he accepted money for autographs. "If I could, I would.

"Because I never wanted to screw over Gurley. I never wanted to screw over their fans or anything like that. That was never my intention. I wish I had never even gone down there. It's not worth it."

Here's the video of the signing

It's a whole bunch of inches where Allen apologizes for everything short of kidnapping the Lindbergh baby...

Good read and a lot mf mea culpas...

Morning Wrap: UGA Hype Video for Auburn Featuring Return of Gurley

((ht: sports.yahoo.com))

Okay, we're suckers for a good hype video.

Maybe because we work in the video business. Maybe we just like cool stuff.

Whatever...

Check out the latest hype video produced by the talented guys at Georgia Football.

It's not long...nor is it incredibly fast paced. But it's effective in getting across it's message and exceptionally well edited and shot.

And yeah, the folks in Athens, besides their brain fart vs. Florida which cost them a shot at the College Football Playoff, are pretty excited to play SEC Rival Auburn this weekend.

Op-Ed: Brother J-Hart Discusses Todd Gurley

((HT: WJBF-TV))

FOSG John Hart is a sports guy-turned news anchor in Augusta, Georgia...

And, as part of La Familia, the HQ runs a public service for those of you who miss it when he revs up the opinion section of his newscast...

He did... and discussed his alma mater and their troubled running back...

Frankly, we feel the same way about Jameis Winston- except that he is far more out of control than Gurley, Newton, or Manziel...

And the HQ wishes that he was nowhere within 500 miles of our school- personally or professionally...
But we doubt that will ever happen...

NCAA: Todd Gurley Has to Sit Two More Games

Oh boy...

If you thought the Georgia natives were restless over the suspension of star RB Todd Gurley before, they are even less thrilled now.

The overlords at the NCAA announced Wednesday morning Gurley will have to sit for two more games, making his suspension a 4-game suspension.

He would be eligible to return November 15th against Auburn.

The NCAA said Gurley, who appeared to have been accepting money for autographs for the past two seasons, has to donate the approximately $3,000 he is said to have received to charity and complete 40 hours of community service.

The school (UGA) also announced immediately after the ruling that they would appeal the decision since Gurley has already sat for 2 games. The NCAA membership committee is supposed to take up the matter by the end of the week.

Which won't help the Dawgs before they play archival Florida....this week.

The NCAA says the suspension is consistent with their rules and it could have been worse had the University and Gurley not been as cooperative as they were.

In the meantime, the Bulldogs will no doubt continue relying on super freshman Nick Chubb who has filled in quite well for Gurley. Chubb has run for 345 yards and 2 TD's in Georgia's last two games.

Coming off a bye week and preparing to play Florida means you will probably see Chubb continue to carry the rock.

Our friends at Saturday Down South give us video of Mr. Gurley in action:

The Dirty Dozen and Bottom of The Barrel: Who's With Me?

No, despite there only being four undefeated teams, it ain't over yet--

We're about to hit the homestretch in the College Football season...otherwise known as November. And there are still plenty of hurdles even the undefeated teams will have to clear.

We know that the SEC West appears to be the best conference in all the land, but will any of those teams have enough left to beat Georgia in the SEC title game?

Casey
And we know that Notre Dame may or may not have gotten jobbed in Tallahassee, a game we secretly hoped both teams would lose...alas, that was not possible.

But enough of that, there's pickin' to be done....

Last week, so 11-3 ain't bad...right? And we called the West Va. win. That makes us 78-16 on the season. (We don't pick the spread...not that smart)

But anyway...

To quote the late, great Casey Kasem....it's "On with the countdown"....

THE DIRTY DOZEN

1) Florida State 7-0. Yeah SEC fans, I said it. They are still #1. Not necessarily because they are the best team, but they will run the table. No guarantees anyone else in the FBS can do that. And more importantly...

And nobody has been able to do that. This Week: BYE

2) Mississippi State 6-0. The bye last week had to help them because they came off 3 straight tough games. And are now everyone's darlings. But unless they shore up the pass defense (last in FBS), Alabama will beat them in a couple weeks. This Week: vs. Kentucky, Our Pick: Miss St. 38, KY 17

3) Ole Miss 7-0. We're still in shock to Mississippi teams are in the top 3. That may very well be a sign of the apocalypse. Their achilles heel is offense, the O is inconsistent, but a strong D more than makes up for it. The next 2 weeks will determine how big the Egg Bowl will be. This Week: at LSU, Our Pick: Ole Miss 24, LSU 23--close call

4) Alabama 6-1. Today's lesson: Don't make Nick Saban angry. You won't like Saban when he's angry. He and the Tide went all Hulk on Texas A and M and now they get Saban's work partner Coach Kiffykins returning to the scene of one of his crimes. Already it's been fun. This Week: at Tennessee, Our Pick: Bama 45, Tenn. 23

5) Auburn 5-1. Somehow these guys always fly under the radar. Sure, they got beat by Miss. St. but they are dangerous. Very dangerous. We suspect they will have a voice in who goes to the SEC title game and the playoff. This Week: vs. South Carolina, Our Pick: Auburn 41, S.Carolina 27

6) Oregon 6-1. We put the Duckies here only because we think the Pac 12 is better than the little 10. They are likely to be a playoff team, but we don't think they are better than anyone ranked ahead of them. IMO. But I could be wrong. This Week: at Cal, Our Pick: Oregon 51, Cal 31

7) Michigan St. 6-1. Your best of the Little 10. And they are pretty good. But Oregon did beat them. And playing in the 10, they aren't going to be pushed too hard. The only test: 3 weeks from now they play Ohio St. This Week: vs. Michigan, Our Pick: Mich St. 38, Mich 27

8) Georgia 6-1. Another dangerous team with a history of shooting themselves in the foot. If indeed they get Todd Gurley back, they become scary good. The D has improved each week. With Gurley and Chubb, they just play keep away. The only test left--vs. Auburn in November. This Week: BYE

9) Notre Dame 6-1. This is one of their better, tougher teams. They should have beaten FSU, but didn't. But they are Notre Dame, they'll get love. The pass defense needs work, but Everett Golston has been outstanding. And no roadblocks ahead. This Week: BYE

10) TCU 5-1. Outside a Gary Patterson brain fart, they have been the best of the Big 9(12). The D hasn't been great, but QB Trevonne Boykin has been a revelation. And the reason the Horned Frogs are scary good on offense. This Week: vs. Texas Tech, Our Pick: TCU 48, T-Tech 31

11) Kansas State 5-1. If not for a bad Field Goal kicker, they beat Auburn and are undefeated. And yes, Bill Snyder is a wizard of some sorts, he just keeps producing good teams in the middle of the Kansas plains. This Week: vs. Texas, Our Pick: K-State 31, Texas 21

12) Ohio State 5-1. It took the Buckeyes a couple weeks to find their footing, but they have. Outside Mich. St, they are the only other serious threat in the Little 10. JT Barrett has been a revelation, and for the Urbanator, that's all he needs. This Week: at Penn St., Our Pick: tOSU 38, Penn St. 27

THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL:

Oy, there's only one NO WIN team left here (SMU). What ever are we to do? Too many of our past lists have had multiple no win teams on it. But hey, maybe that just means everyone is getting better.

Or not....

5) Georgia St. 1-6. The Panthers should never have jumped to the FBS as fast as they did. They were not ready. And are now just everyone's cupcake game. They are playing their polar opposite this week, who waited until they were ready to jump. And now are scaring everyone. This Week: vs. Ga.Southern, Our Pick: Ga.Southern 43, Ga.State 21 (was there doubt?)

4) Idaho 1-6. Yay! The Vandals stole a game. Even though it was last week, it's not enough to get them off the Barrel--yet. They still can't stop the run. Though they should be able to manage it this week. This Week: BYE

3) Troy 1-6. There was hope for the retiring Larry Blakeney after a win. Then they play Appalachian State and got annihilated. So, the misery continues. They do have games with Ga.State and Idaho left, so there is hope. This Week: at South Alabama. Our Pick: S.Alabama 31, Troy 27

2) Miami OH 1-7. Oh how some things never change. They too finally won a game, but have done nothing with that momentum. At all. No defense and little offense, means you often will lose. This Week: vs. Kent State, Our Pick: Kent St. 37, Miami OH 36

1) SMU 0-6. Pity the poor Mustangs. They've been shut out twice and hit double figures in points once. That folks, is not good. And things aren't getting any better. This Week: vs. Memphis, Our Pick: Memphis 43, SMU 6

For you SMU fans--

UGA Moves To Get Todd Gurley Eligible Again

The University of Georgia will file paperwork Wednesday to ask the NCAA to reinstate suspended star tailback Todd Gurley.

The school released a statement that said; "Todd has confirmed his desire to seek reinstatement and the University fully supports Todd's request. The University plans to file the necessary paperwork with the NCAA later today (Wed.)"

Gurley has been on indefinite suspension since word began circulating he took money to sign autographs for a memorabilia dealer who in turn was selling the items.

A video was alleged to have been give to a dealer--a Bryan Allen, who also is alleged to have shopped the video and information to various media outlets before sending it to UGA. The video is alleged to have shown Gurley signing items, but stopped short of showing money changing hands.

UGA also added this in their statement; "The University hopes for and expects a prompt ruling by the NCAA so that Todd, his coaches and teammates can adequately prepare for our next game"

What this means: The investigation is done. And Georgia seems to be confident they can get their Gurley back. And they'd like him back to play in their rivalry game vs. Florida. It also means they feel confident the NCAA will agree after having him sit for 2 games.

We will keep an eye on things the next few days as we suspect they'll get their answer no later than Friday.

Autograph Dealer In Gurley Investigation Claiming Harassment

((HT: MyFoxAtlanta))

A Gator fan complaining about how Georgia Bulldogs fans are responding with him at the center of an investigation implicating (allegedly) one of their own...

The prized running back Todd Gurley who has, apparently, signed his collegiate life away by being very sloppy is now and forever a victim in his fans' eyes. Now northwest Georgia memorabilia dealer Bryan Allen is holed up in his suburban Atlanta home...

Probably locked in there forever...
Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

So, now we have police involved and Allen not necessarily on the run... just locked in place with a high-profile attorney...

And the harassment will continue for quite a while...

FSU: No Evidence Winston Got Money for Autographs

While many of us were out enjoying our Friday night, Florida State University issued a statement about their "internal" investigation of Jameis Winston and his certified autographed memorabilia for sale on the Internet.

Athletic Director Stan Wilcox said, among other things; "At this time, we have no indication that he (Winston) accepted payment for items reported to bear his signature thereby compromising his athletic eligibility."

This is not a surprise. And Wilcox is correct. There's no proof Winston took money for signing the nearly 2000 items on the web with his signature. Therefore there is no reason he shouldn't be able to play.

The autograph situation is completely different than the issues facing Georgia Running Back Todd Gurley. Someone stepped up with evidence Gurley got paid. And agree or disagree, that is technically a rules violation unless proven otherwise, which it hasn't been yet.

The whole issue is stupid for the simple fact the NCAA makes millions off jersey's etc with the names of these kids and the kids see NONE of that money.

Do we think Jameis Winston got paid to sign stuff that is being sold online. Hell yeah we do. There's no logical explanation for that much signed stuff being available unless he did a mass signing for someone.

But there is no proof thus far, which means he can play, he can move forward--for now.

NOTE---Also on Friday, Winston's attorney David Cornwell confirmed the process of Winston's Student Judiciary hearing is moving forward as of now. Cornwell says while he still disagrees with the whole set-up, he's made his choice as to which of the three judges made available for the hearing that he'd like recused.

The hearing, that's a whole other issue...

Hmmm....Did Jameis Winston Do Same Thing Todd Gurley Did?

((ht: racingtoaredlight.com))

With all the hubbub over University of Georgia running back Todd Gurley's suspension over possibly getting paid to autograph memorabilia, someone decided to look and see if anyone else's name might show up on the same EBay website.

And lo and behold someone did.

We can't take credit for doing the original search, the Website Racing to a Red Light did it first.

Read their story RIGHT HERE

But after reading their story, we decided to check it out our own selves.

And not surprisingly, guess who's name shows up in the same authenticated NCAA memorabilia page next to Gurley.

None other than the Famous one himself, FSU Quarterback Jameis Winston...

((Note--This is only a partial list on the screen grab to the right))

The page itself is RIGHT HERE

Yes, there are 7 signed Gurley items on the page, ranging from $49 to $246. And the other 5 items on the page have Mr. Winston's name attached.

Mind you...this may be perfectly legitimate. Nothing here says overtly that Winston was paid to sign anything. Nor does it say Gurley was paid either.

But the items have been authenticated by the same service, Spenceloa.com that was used to authenticate the Gurley items.

If in fact, this is what incriminates Gurley with the NCAA and is the cause of his being suspended the rest of the season, since the video only alleges to show him signing but not being paid, then should the same thing apply to Winston?

We are just raising the question. One that won't be answered now, but probably needs to be asked sooner rather than later...

Decide for yourselves...

In the meantime, check out this story done by our friends at 11Alive TV which asks the question--Could the man named as the person who paid Gurley be sued by Georgia?

Good question:

So, Now We Know A Guy Who Had Gurley Sign Stuff And Then Narc'ed (UPDATED: Gone For The Season?)

((HT: SBNation/Hall, Godfrey))

In the land of college football here in the south, the HQ knows a few things from all of our years of covering it.

1) People are insane when it comes to their teams
2) People are insane when it comes to narcing out other teams to the NCAA
3) People are just flat out insane when it comes to their support of their teams and equally vitriolic in their hatred of others

Because, as we have always known and said: What is the word "fan" short for...???

Fanatic...

And another thing that people are fanatic about is the memorabilia industry and the almighty Yankee dollar- catch the flash-in-the-pan, buy low, sell high, grab material in bulk and try to corner the market.

Which, apparently, one gentleman tried to do with Georgia running back Todd Gurley and then turned heel on him in the middle of the ring in front of God and country.

Kinda like this

So, apparently, a memorabilia dealer sent an e-mail to Hall in late September

I have video of Todd Gurley doing a private autograph signing ***. He has been paid thousands of dollars for his stuff over the last 18 months. I personally paid him for this signing on the video. I have bought and sold game used equipment from him.

I want no compensation. Just want someone to leak this story that's deserving. If you have any interest, give me a call or email. I attached a photo of him in my car signing a mini helmet that I just sold last week on my eBay store.

All I ask is some privacy until we can touch base.

I live on Georgia and would crucified if my name was released.

The video is about 5 minutes long but doesn't show the money exchange.

My cell is **********

I believe this would be the lead story on sports center if ESPN got their hands on this. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hall wanted nothing to do with this since, like most folks think these days, the rule for athletes not being in control of their own person is out-of-date, arcane, and completely unrealistic.

Over $400 and 80 items, this dealer decided to narc on Gurley and is now in hiding.

Andy Staples over at SI has more details:

A check of the James Spence Authentication database revealed 90 consecutively numbered pieces of Gurley-signed memorabilia (J19709-J19799), as well as another lot of 20 consecutively numbered pieces (H85318-H85338) of Gurley-signed memorabilia. JSA is one of the leading autograph authentication services. Consecutive authentication numbers suggest all the items were submitted at once following a large-scale signing.

Athens is up in arms over it- and the HQ isn't just talking about the school.

Yes, the Manziel comparisons will return.
Yes, the Northwestern union discussion will return.
Yes, the O'Bannon case discussion will return.

But, until, and not a moment before the rule makers change their own rules- and only forced to by someone else's hand- because you know the power brokers were only brought into the light kicking and screaming will this change...

And that won't be soon...

PM UPDATE: Looks like the violation may keep Gurley out for the season...

From the AJC and Chip Towers, the news isn't good if you're a Bulldogs fan:

It’s a “significant” case of the sale of memorabilia and there is a possibility that Gurley may not be cleared to return to the field this season.

Other sources familiar with the investigation say a determination of punishment should be made by early next week.

Towers also quotes from the NCAA rule book about how the suspension could play out

NCAA Bylaw 12.1.2.1.6 sets specific guidelines for such penalties:
1. Value of the benefit ranges from greater than $100 to $400 = withholding of 10 percent (of games) and repayment;
2. Value of the benefit ranges from greater than $400 to $700 = withholding of 20 percent (of games) and repayment;
3. Value of benefit ranges greater than $700 = withholding of 30 percent (of games) and repayment.

Now, we all get to figure out what the definition of "significant" is as we all move forward...

Breaking: Todd Gurley Suspended at UGA for Possible Rules Violation (UPDATED With Possible Reasons)

((ht: georgiadogs.com))

Uh oh!

Heisman Trophy candidate Todd Gurley from the University of Georgia will not play Saturday when the Dawgs play Missouri and quite possibly could be done for the rest of this football season.

Per the team website, Gurley is suspended indefinitely "During an ongoing investigation into an alleged violation of NCAA rules."

No word yet what that "Violation" might be.

Said UGA coach Mark Richt; "I'm obviously very disappointed. The important thing for out team is to turn all of our attention to Missouri".

Whoa!

This obviously is huge news as Gurley, a rising Junior, has seemingly carried the Bulldogs to a 4-1 record and was considered a frontrunner for this years Heisman Trophy

More when we find out more....

A little more:

Per the Macon Telegraph...

It's believed that Gurley may have received money in exchange for his autograph or use of his likeness.

Read the Macon Telegraph story RIGHT HERE

If this proves out to be correct, it will be a haunting reminder to Dawg fans still reeling from A.J Green's 4-game suspension a few years ago for selling a signed jersey.

1900 UPDATE: From Seth Emerson at the Macon Telegraph

A source said the investigation involved whether Gurley received money in exchange for his autograph or use of his likeness. That echoes a report by Fox Sports reporter Bruce Feldman.

Feldman's sources say that the investigation is looking into whether Gurley accepted extra benefits for his likeness with memorabilia brokers.

Gentry Estes over at Georgia's section of 24-7 Sports reminds us: A key part of #UGA statement on Gurley was this is a self-imposed penalty and currently in-house investigation.

The Johnny Manziel/Northwestern/likeness discussion resumes in 3, 2, 1...

CFB: The Dirty Dozen and Bottom of the Barrel: Return of the King

It's been so long since our annual College Football weekly column that we almost forgot to write it. And no doubt you would all have shed a tear and uttered a collective "Hey, where's that...um...stuff about College Football"?

Or maybe you wouldn't...

It's been a somewhat quiet, albeit tumultuous off season that saw the Death of The BCS and rise of the Five....

Or was that the Fantastic Four?

Eh, whatever...

We don't believe in preseason polls, they are pointless, so we didn't do one. But we are giving you are impressions and our list of the Top 12 and Bottom 5 teams in College Football as WE see them.

It isn't who the pollsters see, because as we all know, it's a popularity contest. (Another column for another day). So, without killing ourselves...

We give you the Dirty Dozen and the Bottom of the Barrel....

THE DIRTY DOZEN:

1) Florida St. 1-0. Yeah, sure. As a legendary man of men, speaker of speakers (public that is...) once said...

Tell 'em Naitch. Right now nobody has beaten the 'Noles, winners of their last 13 or so games. And unless Famous Jameis does something stupid again, they may not lose. This week they play a Clemson team that Georgia humiliated on Saturday night. Ruh roh. (Our Pick: FSU 43, Citadel 10)

2) Georgia 1-0. Is it too early to give Todd Gurley the Heisman? Does one game make a season? No, of course it doesn't. And the Bulldogs are perennial masters of shooting themselves in the foot. But will it happen this year? (This Week: BYE)

3) Oklahoma 1-0. Big game Bob has been badmouthing the SEC for 2-years now. And couldn't exactly back it up. Until maybe now. We'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he has the best team in the Big 9. For now. (This Week: at Tulsa. Our Pick: The Stoops 43, Tulsa 20)

4. Texas A and M 1-0. So, anyone doubt Kevin Sumlin now? While Johnny Football was a pretty good college QB, it's pretty obvious the Aggies success the last 2-years wasn't all him. Somehow, they've just rebuilt in College Station. This could be interesting. (This Week: vs. Lamar? Really?--sigh---Our Pick: Aggies 52, Lamar 10)

5. Alabama 1-0. It's amazing to us how many have already written off the fighting Saban's after just one week. Sure, he's teamed up with our pal Coach Kiffykins, but come on man...they're still 'Bama.

Yeah...we went there. (This Week: vs. Florida Atlantic. Seriously. FAU. Our Pick: Bama 112, FAU 3)

6.  Oregon 1-0. Yes, the perennial underachieving Ducks. If it plays like a duck, looks like a duck and loses late in the season after being highly rated, then yeah, it's probably Oregon. (This Week: vs. Michigan St. Oooh. A good game. Our Pick: Oregon 33, Mich St 27)

7. Auburn 1-0. No brother Jon, I'm not putting these guys in the top 3. I'm not by god, it's my column! Yeah, sure, we know. They are really good. Nobody can slow them down. And the defense is improving. And Gus is a pretty good coach. Talk to us when we are later in the season. (This Week: vs. San Jose St. Huh? Our Pick: Auburn 58, SJS 10)

8. Michigan St. 1-0. If only they didn't play in the Big 10. And as we all know, the Big 10 loses to the fast schools, pretty much all the time. Someday they'll get the hint, but probably not til Grand Poobah Delany retires. Anyway. (This Week: See #6)

9. Stanford 1-0. Yeah, another team that loses in the clutch. They play more like a Big 10 team only they aren't. And yes, they too have a very good coach. This week, we'll find out just how good they are. (This Week vs. USC. Our Pick: Stanford 31, USC 30)

10. UCLA 1-0. So, our pal JL Mora Jr seems to have found his home in Westwood. And he's done a great job reviving the Bruins. We always thought he'd be a good college coach. Good for him. Now he just needs Brett Hundley and co. to realize the season started LAST week. (This Week: vs. Memphis. Our Pick: UCLA 47, Memphis 23)

11. LSU 1-0. Have a great day! And enjoy Les Miles, still one of CFB's best interviews. He's got a pretty good, albeit young team too. And deep. They've been decent, but not great the past 2 years. That's going to continue. (This Week: vs. Sam Houston. Uh..ok. Our Pick: LSU 37, SHS 10)

12. Baylor 1-0. The Bears get the nod because of Bryce Petty. And we say that in spite of Petty trying his best to hurt himself in a game his team already had in hand. But they'll score a lot, scare some people and lose when pushed. It's what they do. (This Week: vs. Northwestern St.--sigh--Our Pick: Baylor 100, NWSt. 3)

Keep in mind good reader, we don't pick the spread, just the score. Or more precisely, who wins....and who doesn't. And we're pretty good at it as evidenced by last years 156-27 record.

Top that bitches!!

THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL:

5. Florida Atlantic 0-1. Gosh, they could have had the Pelini bowl to start the season if only Carl hadn't gotten fired last yr. for drugs...and general suckitude. It's tough living life as a directional Florida School. These guys should be better. But aren't. (This week: vs. Alabama. Our Pick; See above)

4. Florida International 0-1. Another crappy directional Florida school who has been in the toilet since inexplicably firing Mario Cristobal. And now they've picked a fight with the Miami Herald over their beat writer. We are betting on the beat writer to win. (This Week: vs. Wagner. Our Pick: Wagner 17, FIU 13)

3. UMass 0-1. They've been on our list for going on 3-seasons. And no sign of that changing soon. They have a QB named Fronhapel so they can't be all bad, right? Ha! (This Week vs. Colorado. Our Pick: Colorado 10, UMass 7)

2. Troy 0-1. Yes, Troy. A once proud Sun Belt team that's fallen on hard times. Wait, that sounds familiar. They got smoked by UAB last week. Yes, former Barrel team UAB. (This Week: vs. Duke. Our Pick: Duke 37, Troy 13)

1. Miami (OH) 0-1. The Redhawks are back. Oh yes they are. And they are badder than ever. Armed with a new coach, they hope to shake the MAC curse and lift themselves up...and out of the barrel. Good luck boys, you'll need it. (This Week: vs. E.Kentucky. Our Pick: Miami 31, EKY 17)

UGA WR Produces Star Wars Fan Movie: It's Really Well Done

((ht: onlineathens.com))

If University of Georgia senior WR Chris Conley doesn't make it as an NFL Football player, he most definitely has something to fall back on.

Conley, a communications major, wrote and directed a film shot mostly in and around the school's Sanford Stadium. The film is a Star Wars fan film set in Athens. It also features appearances by coach Mark Richt and teammate Todd Gurley as a certain superhero.

It's almost a half-hour long, but really well done. Take a look:

Georgia Takes The Cocktail Party

((HT: CBSSports/SEC))

Oh, sorry...

We're not supposed to call it that anymore...

You can look at this game in a few different ways...

Either it was great defensively, or just downright sloppy...
The game had nine turnovers- six by Florida (on a side note, the HQ would LOVZE to hear what the Coach Boom lecture was after the game...) including a last-minute strip of Jordan Reed by all-world linebacker Jarvis Jones that resulted in a touchback and preserved the UGA lead.

What was that, Lane Kiffin...??? Not interested in Jarvis Jones, anymore...???

Okay, then... Jones finished with 13 tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. Not a bad day's work for the Carver-Columbus grad.

It was the first time since 1989 that Georgia got back-to-back wins against the Gators. And both teams combined for 24 penalties in a game that was beyond-chippy.

Here's the game-winning score...

Georgia now needs to beat Ole Miss and Auburn to secure its place in the Ess-E-Cee title game so they can be beaten by Alabama.
