Dennnis Rodman > Fran McCaffrey On The Nutty Scale

((HT: CNN))

And we have Chris Cuomo to "thank..." (?)

Rodman and a handful of NBA'ers are over in North Korea playing some exhibitions to further his idea of basketball diplomacy...

But Cuomo went there...

Asking Rodman about North Korean policy- which is like asking the HQ about nuclear physics- and Rodman went off to the googleplexed degree on live television...

Just watch his fellow players look at Dennis as he explodes...

Safe to say, the HQ thinks they all want to go home...

But, to continue the riff, Wolf Blitzer actually interviewed NBA Commissioner David Stern- which is a tremendous follow-up notion...

"Dennis will be Dennis, but I think there is a lot at stake here in terms of a ... a very dangerous country..."

There's that...

Dennis Rodman Discusses North Korea

((HT: CNN))

And, for all of us, it's one of those things we need to see to believe...
Here's The Worm's rant on foreign policy at present and this country's relationship with North Korea...

See...???

Now, if only we could name Rodman some kind of special ambassador to the United Nations or something, wouldn't this whole North Korea-as-world-oppressor-bar-none come to a screeching halt...???

Wouldn't it...???

The HQ is gonna hold our breath until we turn blue to make sure this happens...

Even as Rodman wants to school an entire country on basketball...
Could be the best bunch of rebounders in one country ever assembled...

Basketball Diplomacy Round 2: Rodman and Kim

((HT: Sportsnet.ca))

Dennis Rodman disembarked a plane in North Korea trying for round 2 in claiming world peace...

Or something...

Actually, word is that he wants to start a basketball league in North Korea...

Or something...

You know his newest, bestest, little buddy will pay him to do it...
Until it fails and Kim Jong-Un puts a contract out on his head...

But, here Rodman is getting off the plane...

Busy First Day At Five-Ringed Circus In London: Suspensions and Delays

First, THE IAAF has announced nine athletes have been suspended ahead of the London 2012 Games for doping. The list include eight women and one man: Ukrainian runners Nataliya Tobias and Antonina Yefremova, Bulgarian sprinter Inna Eftimova, Moroccan marathon runner Abderrahim Goumri, Greek steeplechaser Irini Kokkinariou, Turkish distance runner Meryem Erdogan, and Russian long-distance runners Svetlana Klyuka, Nailiya Yulamanova and Yevgenina Zinurova.

Then, as the Colombian women were set to play the North Koreans at Hampden Park in Glasgow, North Korea's women's Olympic soccer team refused to start match because of a flag dispute.

The South Korean flag was mistakenly displayed on the matrix board during player introductions, and for 40 minutes (and counting) the DPR squad failed to start the game. The two countries, South and North Korea, went to war in 1950 and an armistice was signed. But the two countries have one of the most fortified borders on the planet even today.

More when we know more...

1540 UPDATE: London Olympic organizers have apologized to North Korea for displaying South Korean flag and the match is set to start in Group G at any moment...

Here's the oops, thanks to our friends at CBSSports and James Crossans' Twitter Feed...
