Rory McIlroy Now Getting "Side Pocket" Jokes

((HT: PGA Tour))

The 30 best are playing in the Tour Championship this weekend, just down the road from the HQ.

The world number one was playing the 14th hole when this happened...
And, no, we don't know what the odds are on something like this actually happening...

Not surprising, McIlroy made par...

Sutherland Cards First-Ever Champions Tour 59

((HT: Golf Channel))

And, to think, Kevin Sutherland had a putt for 58...

In Endicott, New York, one-time PGA Tour winner Kevin Sutherland had the round of his life in the second round of the Champions Tour event Saturday. His front side was seven birdies and an eagle finishing with 12 birdies overall.

His only misstep was the par putt on 18... for a 28-31 scorecard...

Here's the highlights of the round...

Nine players shot 60 on the Champions Tour- most recently Michael Allen at the 2014 Allianz Championship.
Six players have shot 59 on the PGA Tour- most recently Jim Furyk at the 2013 BMW Championship.

Devil Ball Golf gets the credit for this one...

Brady Schnell is chasing Brock McKenzie after two rounds of the tournament in Calgary.

Schnell holed out a wedge to shoot a 59 in the second round of the tournament and is now only the second player to shoot sub-60 in a PGA Tour Canada event. The other is Jason Bohn who actually shot a 58.

Fact is, Schnell was only looking to get the wedge close to shoot 60...

Here's Brady talking about his 59 and knowing he did it the second he holed out

Here's Round One highlights, by the way...

Ian Poulter Pitches to the Green From The Bridge Railing

((ht: cbssports.com))

Okay, this really isn't fair. Mostly because normal hackers like us can't actually do this.

Check out this promotional video PGA Tour Golfer and snazzy dresser Ian Poulter participated in for King Cobra golf.

Poulter stands on the railing of a creek bridge on a random golf course...explains his predicament and boom! Drops the ball on the green.

Yeah, needless to say, don't try this at home, though we know some of you will. And no, even if I was on flat ground, I couldn't hit a pitch that well...very often.

Nice job Mr. Poulter, we applaud you not falling while hitting the shot...
