Sometimes, you have one of THOSE days...
The day like the padre had during the rainstorm in "Caddyshack"
Looks like somebody had a day similar- except for the rain and being struck by lightning thing...
Before today, Sergio Garcia's low est 9-hole score was a 29. He hit that number three times.
Today, he shot a 27 on the back-nine today at Bridgestone.
He leads the pack by 3 at 11-under.
Here's his action on the 15th- a 224-yard par-3
Justin Rose is three back at 8-under
Marc Leishman and Rory McIlroy are at 7-under
And here is Garcia on the 18th for his seventh straight birdie and a 61

#1 Arizona Allows Only 25 Points To Washington State
It may not be such an understatement to say that Washington State's game against #1 Arizona was over at tip off.
The Wildcats swarmed the Cougars winning the game 60-25.
That's right, Washington State could only score 25 points on the top ranked Wildcats.
Thanks Pac-12 Network
Thanks ArizonaWildcats
"Arizona jumped on us early and it never really ended." Washington State head coach Ken Bone said.
Washington State was 9-45 from the field shooting only 20 percent for the game and the Cougars 25 points is their lowest since January 15, 1938.
Junior Longrus led Washington State in scoring with six points. He was the only Cougar with multiple field goals made in the game.
“Obviously we feel good about our defensive performance." Arizona head coach Sean Miller said. "One thing I wanted to point out is Washington State was clearly playing without two players."
Those two players Washington State was missing was their leading scorer DaVante Lacy who had an emergency appendectomy and another starter Dexter Kernich-Drew who is recovering from a concussion.
“It seemed like it just snowballed and as it snowballed one thing that was impressive was Arizona being able to sustain a high level of intensity, especially through the half,” Bone said. “Their defense was still good even as the score became lopsided.”

Texas Tech QB Davis Webb Enjoyed His Holiday With 4 Touchdown Passes. Texas Tech Defeats Arizona State 37-23
Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb must have been tired of the losing.
The Red Raiders had lost five in a row heading into their Holiday Bowl match-up with Arizona State.
Everybody was not high on us on in the beginning of the year, we won 7 games, everybody was on our shoulders and we lose five in a row and everybody disappeared." Webb said.
Texas Tech showed up Monday night in San Diego and Webb had a huge game as the Red Raiders defeated Arizona State 37-23.
Thanks AJ Media
The final numbers for Davis Webb, he completed 28 of 41 passes for 403 yards and four touchdowns which ties the Holiday Bowl record.
Thanks ESPN
"When Coach told me I was going to start, there was nothing but joy," Webb said. "I told myself that I was going to make sure that I was going to send the seniors out right. We came prepared. We leaned on each other and we showed that today."
"Everybody in that locker room believed that we could beat Arizona State and we did that." Webb added.
Webb left San Diego with the Holiday Bowl offensive MVP award.
"It's always great to end on a win especially in a big-time bowl game like this, the Holiday Bowl, so it will definitely help our cause." Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said.

Andre Williams Goes For 339 Yards Against NC State, Boston College Is Bowl Eligible
Andre Williams had a senior day for the ages at Boston College Saturday.
The A-Train tied his own school record with 42 carries and the ACC rushing record in a single game with 339 yards. Williams added two touchdowns to his tremendous afternoon as Boston College defeated NC State 38-21 to become bowl eligible.
"It was my last game in Alumni Stadium and the emotions I was feeling before and during the game were just crazy." Williams said. "It really wasn't hard to get back on the field and get another run out there even though I was hurting, even though I was tired. None of those things really mattered because there was so much on the line. Everything we wanted was right in front of us. Now we're bowl-eligible and that's what we've really been fighting for this whole season."
"I think that any time you have a dominant football player that is all about the right things and stands for what's right in college football then that's what the Heisman Trophy represents." Boston College head coach Steve Addazio said. "There are some tremendously worthy candidates out there but why not Andre Williams."
Why not Andre Williams who seems to be on the way to 2,000 yards rushing this season.
15 to 20 years ago Andre Williams might have earned a spot on the Heisman Trophy short list. Back then running backs were in the mix.
The quarterback position grabs so much of the attention today its to the point where they are the only position players that receive consideration.
Throughout the season quarterbacks have only been mentioned as the front runners for the Heisman Trophy.
One of those under consideration for the Heisman Trophy is Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston. A pretty good argument can be made that Andre Williams deserves be the ACC Player of the Year over Winston.
Do you think those voting for the Heisman Trophy will consider a write in campaign for Andre Williams?
That's not even on Williams' mind right now, his Boston College Eagles are celebrating an important win and all he cared about was bowl eligibility for his team.
"To be able to do it in our last game at Alumni Stadium, it was just an unreal feeling." Williams said. "Afterwards, being able to celebrate with our entire student body was something I've never seen before at BC. I'm going to remember it forever."

Colorado State's Kapri Bibbs Could Not Be Stopped By Nevada.
The Nevada defense could not handle Colorado State running back Kapri Bibbs.
Bibbs rushed for a school record 312 yards on 30 carries and scored four touchdowns.
Here's the highlights from Colorado State Athletics.
“I love his (Bibbs') attitude,” Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain said. “I love the way he competes and how much he cares. I’ve seen how much he has grown up here.”
By the way Colorado State won the game 38-17. The Rams are now 5-5 overall, 3-2 in the Mountain West.

Can Anyone Derail The Baylor Offense? Bears put up over 70 points again.
Right now Baylor head coach Art Briles is the resident offensive genius in college football.
Heading into the West Virginia game Saturday the Bears led the nation in total offense averaging a staggering 751.3 yards per game while putting up almost 70 points a game.
Even Oregon's offense can't compete.
Saturday in front of 45,467 fans at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas Baylor padded those stats.
Baylor put up a Big 12 Conference record 864 yards of total offense and put up over 70 points to defeat West Virginia 73-42. In face Baylor's 73 points is a Big 12 conference record too for most points in a single game in a conference head-to-head match-up.
Enjoy the offensive show.
Saturday against West Virginia was Bryce Petty's fourth start as the Bears quarterback and once again Petty put up big numbers. He threw for 347 yards and two touchdowns.
“It’s a team win." Petty said. "We’re all smiles right now and we should be."
Damn right you should smile after that performance.
Next week Baylor travels to the "Little Apple", Manhattan, Kansas to face the K-State Wildcats.
It might be a little tougher to put up 70 there.
