Adam Lefkoe has become a favorite at the HQ for:
A) Having 5:00 for a sportscast...
B) Having the stones inside a 5:00 sportscast to theme it out...
First, it was wrestling then it was "Seinfeld..."
Now, we introduce "Rap Cast"
Carry on, Lefkoe...

Louisville Sports Guy Does Seinfeldcast: We Bow in Appreciation
((ht: thebiglead.com))
Bravo Adam Lefkoe. The day of the gag sportcast lives on with you sir.
Watch and marvel as Lefkoe, Sports Anchor at WHAS-TV in Louisville, Kentucky manages to incorporate a variety of Seinfeld catch phrases through his entire 5-minute Sports show. (Note--In many local news outlets, 5-minute sports segments haven't been seen since Seinfeld's heyday)
This is not Lefkoe's first foray into the world of wacky sports segments, remember this from just last week?
Yes, Adam, we pay our respects to you. As a team of former and current Sports Producers here at OSG Sports, with years of experience on our resume's, this is a flashback. We interpret this as a shout out to the glory days of 5-minute segments where you could have fun, sneak in a couple of gag lines and make people smile during an otherwise depressing newscast.
As for me, I don't have this on video, but perhaps one of my favorite segments ever as a producer was way back in the ancient days of 1993 at WTLV in Jacksonville, Florida , when Dan Hicken, Jeff Imperial and I spent the afternoon shooting a Halloween segment that involved dropping the TV Station pumpkin off the roof of the building for no apparent reason other than we could.
We did a few other wacky things like that. (Mostly Dan's ideas). But these days, you don't get to do it.
Most Local affiliates, if they do sports, give it maybe 2 minutes. Not enough to do a whole lot other than read really fast.

Wrestlecast 2013 Is Something To Remember...
((HT: Awful Announcing))
As fans of the sport growing up the HQ can get into a war of words with fellow fans about how the sport has changed, but there are moments of clarity and remembrance.

You win, Lefkoe...
For today... although the SD Jones reference was a bit of a reach...
