Today's Best Sports Feature: SVP and Dana Holgorsen Talk Hair and Kingpin

((ht: espn.com))

This is a great, fun feature story. We laughed, quite hard while watching it. Partially because of the Kingpin references and partially because we enjoyed West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen's self-depricating humor about his hair.

Watch and enjoy Holgorsen talk hair with the hairless Scott Van Pelt of ESPN:

ICYMI: West Va. Gets Big Win vs. Baylor and Riots

((ht: foxsports.com))

It wasn't pretty. But it was a win and Dana Holgersen and the West Virginia Mountaineers will gladly celebrate beating the alleged #4 team in the country.

West By-Gawd took down the Baylor Bears 41-27 in Morgantown Saturday in a game that featured 18-penalties against Baylor. The win threw the Big 9 (12) title race into chaos...

It also featured Mountaineer QB Clint Trickett recording his 8th straight 300-yard passing game, throwing for 322 yards and 3 TD's.  Kevin White, who leads the nation in catches, caught 8 of those passes for 132 yards and 2 TD's.

As for the Bears, well, we picked this to happen.

Sure, Bryce Petty threw for 223 yards and 3 TD's, but Baylor's high-powered, nation leading offense was pretty much held in check by West Va.

Your highlights from FOXSports:

It should be noted in true West Virginia fashion, students ran on the field and continued the celebration late into the night. Rioting was reported all through the downtown area of Morgantown. According to reports, the students were setting fires, damaging street lights and various other properties and threw rocks, bottles and beer at police and firefighters called in to help calm them down.

You stay classy West Virginia....

West Virginia Beats Texas Tech on Game Winning 55-Yard FG

((ht: foxsports.com))

No, on a typical College Football weekend, there's probably not much of a chance we post a recap of the West Virginia vs. Texas Tech game in Lubbock.

Two decent, but not great teams playing in the Big 9, not 12 on a Saturday afternoon.

In a game decided by a Field Goal.

It just so happens the field goal by Josh Lambert was the game winner. And it was from 55-yards out giving West Virginia the road victory and setting off a crazy celebration by the Mountaineers and their coach Dana Holgersen.

Did we mention, the 55-yard kick split the uprights as time ran out?

Yeah....

Well, here's your highlights from FOXSports, stick around for the finish, it was pretty dramatic...

TCU Out-Balls WBGV In Double Overtime

((HT: CFB on FOX))

Remember when everyone was talking about how West By Gawd Virginia was the second coming of your favorite religious being and was going to take care of everything and show up in the Bee-Cee-Ess title game (or something close to it)...???

Well, that was certainly a long time ago...

TCU showed up in Morgantown and showed once again that West Virginia have no defense whatsoever... especially in overtime or double overtime...

Evidence below...

TCU was actually 10 points down late in the fourth quarter and came back to force overtime.

Trevone Boykin and Josh Boyce hooked up on a 96-yard TD pass play with 1:28 left to tie the score at 31-31. Neither offense scored in the first overtime which led to the action in the second...

West Virginia is now 5-3 and should plummet out of the top 25...

Dana Holgorsen is, obviously, less than pleased...

West Virginia Outlasts Baylor In Morgantown, Creates Both Records And Headaches

((HT: KWTX-TV, Waco))

Let's face it...

The whole experience reminded us of one of two things...

Either video games or Arena Football... both apply all over the place...

133 points, 19 touchdowns and absolutely no defense whatsoever...

Geno Smith went 45-for-51 for 656 yards and 8TD's while Nick Florence went 29-for-47 for 581 yards and 5 TD's.

The game also set a record for the most points scored involving a team ranked in The Associated Press poll. The previous mark of 124 was set in 1980 when No. 12 Oklahoma beat Colorado 82-42. West Virginia picked up a school-record 807 yards, and the teams combined for 1,507 yards of offense and 67 first downs. Six receivers had at least 100 yards receiving.

Shall we keep going...???

The Bears' Terrance Williams set a Big 12 record with 314 yards receiving. The old mark was by West Virginia's Stedman Bailey, who had 303 yards and a school-record five TDs.

And the only reason Bailey didn't keep it in the first place was that Williams got the last possession...

The 19 touchdowns tied a D1 record from 2007 when Navy beat North Texas 74-62. That game was the old record for points in a regulation game at 136.

Baylor also tied a D1 mark for the most points scored by a losing team...

Got all that...???

Ricardo Lecompte tries to condense the whole story to 2:10

"Not every Big 12 game is like this," West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen said in the post-game presser.

Whaddya mean it's not...???
