Really: JaVale McGee Honks His Horn

((ht: deadspin.com))

Get your minds out of the gutter.

It's really exactly as the headline sounds.

Really.

Check out this YouTube video of JaVale, the starting center of the Denver Nuggets, entertaining himself...and maybe a few other people by shooting video of himself honking a car horn at various passerby.

No really, it's not as funny as you'd think it would be, it's just a little weird. But, it appears this may be his form of entertainment.

Judge for yourself:

Report: Nuggets Fire George Karl

((ht: @WojYahooNBA))

So much for winning NBA Coach of the Year.

According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Denver Nuggets have decided to part ways with now former head coach George Karl.

Wojnarowski says Karl was seeking an extension of his contract, which had one year left on it.

Karl coached a talented Denver team to a 3rd seed in this years Western Conference playoffs, but the Nuggets were eliminated by Golden State. The team played very well during his 8-year
tenure, but never was able to get very far in the playoffs.

Oh, Denver's G.M Masai Ujiri just left the team to take over the Toronto Raptors last week.

Speculation has already begun that Karl may end up in Los Angeles as coach of the Clippers.

Kendall Gill's Debut As A Boxer...On TV...

((HT: CSNChicago))

No, it wasn't on the air, silly...

If was off the air after Gill got into a rather-heated discussion with B1G Ten Network analyst Tim Doyle over the following observation from last night's Bulls-Nuggets game...

Doyle and Gill went up against a wall and drew blood in front of Chicago Business Report reporter Danny Ecker- who was an eyewitness and wrote all about it.

Gill has been temporarily removed from the show, "Sports Talk Live," until everything is examined in due course.

"We're looking further into the incident that took place in our newsroom earlier today," said CSN Chicago news director Kevin Cross in a statement. "Until the investigation is complete, Kendall Gill will not be appearing on our air."

DEVELOPING...??? D-12 Deal Finally Done...??? (UPDATED)

We can only think that this is, in fact, true...

It looks like, according to Marc Stein and various other "sources" close to Stein and everyone else in Bristol, the Dwight Howard deal might be like this...

And if it is, in fact, true... we can all go back to our lives...

Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers
The Denver Nuggets will get Andre Iguodala
The Philadelphia 76ers will get Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson
The Orlando Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from the Lakers, Nuggets, and Sixers.

The Magic will be getting other bits and pieces- including this year's Number 1 pick of the 76'ers- Moe Harkless

All this is through Stein...

We can only hope... more when we know more...
ESPN discusses hyah with FOSG Chris Cotter leading the band...

According to JA Adande, through his Twitter:

Howard a Laker. Bynum will re-sign in Philly. Denver saves $15 million in 2014-15. Only team this wasn't a no-brainer for is...Orlando

The conference call with the NBA is slated for Friday morning...

Adande continues @2330: I'm retracting my Bynum re-signing with 76ers tweet. Original source clarifies to say "not sure"

"Birdman" Being Investigated On "Internet Crimes Against Children..."

((HT: KUSA-TV Denver))

Suburban Denver police are investigating Nuggets forward Chris "Birdman" Andersen. They executed a search warrant for his home earlier today.

The Internet Crimes Against Children unit started looking into Andersen three months ago after getting a tip from law enforcement in California.

Evidence was taken from the home but no one has been arrested in association with the search.

Here's the early breaker...

"At this time, I respect the process and I have no further comment to protect the integrity of everyone involved. We’ll proceed from there,” Mark Bryant, who serves as Andersen’s agent and attorney, told ESPN.

This can't be good...

Blake Griffin dunks over everyone

((ht: cbssports.com))

Ouch!

Periodically, we feel the need to show you highlights of possibly the greatest power dunker ever in the NBA.

Blake Griffin of the L.A Clippers has been featured more times than we can count, dunking over pretty much anyone who gets in his way.

Last night, it appears that at least 3 Denver Nuggets tried to get in his way.

The result...was inevitable.
