No, Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin is not known as a 3 point marksman. But he has hit one before.
Few were bigger than the three that he hit at the buzzer Tuesday night sending the Clippers to a 121-120 overtime win over the Phoenix Suns.
The bucket gave Griffin 45 points on the night, a night that apparently belonged to him.
You have to watch the shot, mostly because it hit the front of the rim, bounced high in the air...before dropping through the net.
And then the chaos ensued...

Saturday PM Sterling Update: No One Is Happy About It...
((HT: KABC-TV))
And let the spin begin...
The opinion is, from the Sterling camp, is that it is all the fault of Stiviano- who is being charged with embezzling almost $2-million- and that the Clippers owner is not the kind of person portrayed on the tape released to TMZ Sports...
Melissa Macbride is in the Satellite Center to read full screens
Doc Rivers, representing the team, was not pleased...
((HT: ESPN))
Chris Paul, the Executive Director of the NBPA, says the matter is going to be handled by the players in a timely fashion...
"On behalf of the National Basketball Players Association, this is a very serious issue which we will address aggressively," it read. "We have asked [Sacramento] Mayor Kevin Johnson to expand his responsibilities with the NBPA, to determine our response and our next steps. As players, we owe it to our teams and our fans to keep our focus on our game, the playoffs, and a drive to the Finals."
No lie... for this part of irony...
Sterling was to be honored in May with a lifetime achievement award by the NAACP in Los Angeles. The prganization is monitoring the Clippers situation right now as well...

Report: Celtics/Clippers Trade for Doc Rivers is on (UPDATED)
((ht: espn.com))
**UPDATED**--Monday afternoon. It appears the league is giving their blessing to the deal. So it appears you will have a Doc on the sideline at Clipper games. Now the question is "Will this keep Chris Paul in the fold?"
ESPN is reporting the on again/off again trade between the Boson Celtics and LA Clippers is apparently about to be consummated.
Details are still being ironed out, but reports this afternoon say the Clips were offering 2 draft picks.
Update---The compensation appears to be a 2015 1st Round pick. In addition, the Clippers will match the 3-year, $21 million contract Rivers has with Boston.
The interesting part is yet to come: Will David Stern allow it? Stay tuned reader...
Boston discusses...
((HT: CSNNE.com))
There was talk that either Kevin Garnett and/or Paul Pierce would join Rivers in Los Angeles, but any deal involving Garnett is dead. Pierce could be easily amnestied and picked up as an outside, veteran shooter that the Clips could always use...

Blake Griffin vs. Chandler Parsons: Who ya got?
((ht: thebiglead.com))
Oh, this is fantastic.
It appears that the unknown war of jokes between LA Clippers forward Blake Griffin and Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons has escalated after it appears Griffin hit Parsons in the family jewels after a recent game.
See the video here:
The funniest part: They are, according to the person who posted this on YouTube, good friends who like to prank each other.
This is pretty good.

From Parsons twitter page @chandlerparsons: Seriously dude? @blakegriffin , @Deadspin
Griffin @blakegriffin: @chandlerparsons sprained my wrist and had to keep it moving...My bad didn't even see you.
Oh, by the way, it appears Griffin named his dog after the aforementioned Mr. Parsons. And yes, they are both in on the joke.

OK. We find this pretty funny. And it appears the jokes are escalating. Though not everyone has quite seen the humor.
Check out The Big Lead's story RIGHT HERE
We do find the whole thing very funny. In fact, though hardly Clipper fans we do like Griffin the player and we think he's one of the more original, funny characters in pro sports today. And we hope he keeps it up.
As for Mr. Parsons, we aren't quite as familiar with him, though if he indeed is that friendly with Griffin, well, he's been served.
Your turn sir....

Your Blake Griffin highlight of the night
((ht: nba.com))
We just kind of enjoy posting highlights of LA Clippers forward Blake Griffin. He's one of the few NBA players we like watching play.
The guy just likes to dunk the basketball. And not just the two hand, barely over the rim type.
No.
He seems to posterize someone just about once a week.
Here's this weeks poster:

Jason Smith with the Hip Check of Blake Griffin (UPDATED)
Whomever said basketball isn't a contact sport is absolutely insane.
Heck, every once in a while, you see hits...or fouls that would make hockey players blush.
This is one of those. Last night, New Orleans Hornet forward Jason Smith was bound and determined to not let Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers do what he does best on the fastbreak...dunk the ball.
The result is...well...shall we say less than popular and probably would...and should cost Smith some money.
1615 UPDATE: Smith has been given a 2-game suspension for his hip check...and most of the Internet and TV Universe is aghast....

Blake Griffin dunks over everyone
((ht: cbssports.com))
Ouch!
Periodically, we feel the need to show you highlights of possibly the greatest power dunker ever in the NBA.
Blake Griffin of the L.A Clippers has been featured more times than we can count, dunking over pretty much anyone who gets in his way.
Last night, it appears that at least 3 Denver Nuggets tried to get in his way.
The result...was inevitable.

Yes, Blake Griffin has the dunk of the year..so far
((ht: nba.com))
Yeah, we know. We've seen it. We've been awake about 45 minutes and have already seen it 5-times on SportsCenter and another half-dozen or so posts here on the Internets.
In case you missed it, last night, Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers did the ultimate facial dunk on Oklahoma City's Kendrick Perkins.
And yeah, sure, it was pretty impressive. Though we certainly enjoy Mr. Griffin and his ever widening repertoire of dunks, we suspect this isn't the "Be-all, end-all, never to be repeated, greatest dunk ever" as it is being made out to be.
Sorry for the cynicism...
Thanks NBA.com for the video:

Lakers vs. Clippers: A New Rivalry?
Believe it or not, this game actually got kind of chippy. And in some ways, it was nice to see.
The LA Lakers, long the kings of Los Angeles took on the upstart Clippers Wednesday night and aside from it being a pretty good game, there was a bit of dislike expressed.
Specifically, the Lakers Pau Gasol and the Clippers Chris Paul.
After a Blake Griffin foul, the two teams headed to the other end of the court. While walking, Gasol and Paul got into a "Discussion". All the while, Kobe Bryant tried standing between them to keep the peace. That all went out the window when Gasol tried to muss Paul's hair. Paul didn't take it very well, though he managed to keep a semblance of cool on the floor.
The issue in question is right here with sound from Gasol:
The LA Times gives us the Chris Paul explanation, Paul wasn't happy:
Oh...the Lakers won, 96-91. Your highlights from NBA.com:
