Seattle knocked off New Orleans in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs yesterday to set up their home game with the San Francisco 49ers- who held off Carolina today for another road trip to be one win away from the Roman Numeral Classic...
Marshawn Lynch scored another TD in the win over the Saints...
So, it appears one of Lynch's TD runs got the following response in the northwest...
From the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, the picture below...
And early information from the Seismic Network says that this one was a louder and more seismic response than this TD run three years ago...

SMH: Hulk Hogan With Bizarre Promo Supporting New England Patriots
((ht: sportsgrid.com))
Huh?
There was a time, a decade or 3 ago, where pro wrestler Hulk Hogan was cool, relevant and sometimes kind of interesting when he would cut a promo.
Then there's this.
Mind you, we don't hate on old professional wrestlers, Ric Flair cutting a promo to pump on the San Francisco 49ers last week was great.
But the Hulkster, well, he's kind of devolved into a bit of a parody of his former self.
Check out this 2 minute or so promo he cuts for the New England Patriots. No, it probably won't make you hate either the Hulkster, or the Patriots (ok, maybe the Patriots), but will leave you shaking your head and asking: "What the heck did he just say?"

49ers Call in The Nature Boy to Fire Them Up
((ht: pfz.com))
Woooooo!
Football teams will sometimes use some interesting tactics to get their players fired up or motivated for a big game.
With that thought in mind, as they settled in on Saturday night before Sunday's NFL Playoff game vs. the Green Bay Packers, the San Francisco 49ers decided to bring in someone who excels at firing people up.
That someone: None other than Pro Wrestling Legend "Nature Boy" Ric Flair….
The team flew the Nature Boy up from Charlotte to Green Bay to get the 49ers "Stylin' and Profilin" knowing full well that "To be the Man, you gotta BEAT the man"….or in this case Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers…
Check out this quick Instagram Video of Flair's entrance music hitting:

ICYMI: Wild Wild Card Games Trim Field By 2
((HT: NFL on NBC))
Two games, three points separating teams from advancing to the next round... and it was two games that came at you from two different directions...
The early game was one that the HQ thought was absolutely done when the Indianapolis Colts were down 28. But, as we were shown, Andrew Luck can add another comeback to his stacks of feats and Chuck Pagano can call a 45-44 comeback one of his best coaching jobs around...
It's only the second time in playoff history a team rallied from a deficit of 28 or more points for the win. Buffalo trailed by 32 (35-3) before beating the Houston Oilers 41-38 in overtime in January 1993 (the Frank Reich-led comeback for those of you who can't remember that far back).
Luck's first career playoff victory sends Indianapolis to play either Denver or New England next weekend...
Here's Eric Allen breaking it down...
((HT: ESPN))
The nightcap was a test for Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints since they haven't won a road playoff game in his tenure (0-3 versus 4-0 at home) and, after a first half where they were kept in check by Philadelphia's defense, they found their rhythm in the second half.
It took a last-second Shayne Graham field goal for the 26-24 win and a trip to Seattle...
And that's why the Saints picked him up after letting Garrett Hartley go...

Detroit Lions Bungled Attempt at Playoff Tickets
Nothing like sending your fans tickets they've purchased in advance of your hope at making the NFL playoffs….the day after you are eliminated from them. That's exactly what the masters of timing in the Detroit Lions ticketing department did Monday.
Yeah…
It appears the team decided to start selling playoff tickets when they were 7-5 and leading the NFC North.
The problem, the Lions have lost their last three games, falling to 7-8 and after Sunday's ugly loss to the New York Giants, saw their post season hopes disappear.
Reportedly the team is crediting ticket holders towards their 2014 season tickets. Of course they are making the assumption that the same ticket holds will actually purchase 2014 season tickets. The team later added that those who don't renew will get refunds.

DEVELOPING: RG III To Pensacola To See Andrews
((HT: CSNWashington))
And that is never a good sign those three words...
"Doctor James Andrews"
Redskins QB Robert Griffin III is heading down to Pensacola, Florida for further evaluation on his injured (and re-injured) right knee from yesterday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks...
Here's Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan defending yesterday's decisions...
“Right now, I really don’t know,” Shanahan said in the post-mortem press conference. “Everything right now is total speculation. …There is a concern.”
Here was the last straw yesterday...
((HT: NFL on FOX/youtube))
The HQ is thinking a re-blowing out of the knee and, at least, six months of rehab.

It Was 20 Years Ago Today... The Comeback...
((HT: ESPN/NFL on NBC/youtube))
Buffalo Bills fans remember where they were on this day and Buffalo Bills fans also know that, after this era of football, they haven't been back...
Just a reminder from the HQ, if Frank Reich comes in and his team is down 30, you're in trouble...
Here's the pro example...
