Marshawn Lynch Wraps Up Crazy Run and Night With Silly Interview

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch IS Beast Mode. And he proved it yet again Sunday night with one of the most incredible 79-yard TD runs you'll ever see.

Shedding tacklers like sand fleas, Lynch isn't the fastest guy on the field, but at times nobody seems able to get him off his feet.

Check out the crazy run along with the highlights of Seattle dismantling the Arizona Cardinals 35-6.

((Note-Lynch is going to get fined, if you notice at the end of his TD run, he leaps in the air and grabs his crotch. That is a no-no and stupid. It should cost him money for that and hopefully will))

But then there is post game. And reporters always want to talk to the best players after the games. However Lynch, he's apparently not a big fan of talking to the assembled media. He's been fined by the NFL for not participating in the post game scrum.

And Lynch, rather than get fined again has participated. But his answers to questions well, they leave a bit to be desired though admittedly at times they are funny.

The other interesting issue to us is the duel between reporters and Lynch. The reporters are genuinely upset "Beast Mode" won't talk to them. And having been on that end, sure, we get it. You want the interview with the star of the day. But we also get Lynch. He doesn't like to talk. He should not be required to.

Yes we know he's a professional, it's part of the job. But it should be his choice whether he talks or not. If he doesn't want to, talk to his teammates. Find someone else to talk to. It should be his choice. (Just our opinion here)

Here's video of the Lynch Post Game interview from ESPN.com--Thanks for asking:

Uh Oh: Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin Take Shots at NFL Media Policy

Oh, this is not going to end well. But it is quite a good laugh never the less.

Check out Seattle Seahawks DB Richard Sherman and teammate, WR Doug Baldwin making their statement about the NFL's attempt at a media policy.

The pair were making a point after teammate Marshawn Lynch was fined $100,000 for avoiding Seahawks media availability 6 weeks in a row.

The Tacoma News Journal shares the video:

Sherman, a spokesperson for Beats headphones makes a very good point. Players don't get paid for talking to the media. They get paid for sponsorships. Sherman and others have been fined for wearing Beats, because they aren't an NFL sponsor. The players get angry about that.

He's not wrong, and it's a fine line that the NFL has to dance trying to accommodate local media requests with their sponsors.

The league and the media have clashed before as the NFL has tried at various time to limit accessibility. It's failed because the local reporters fought back.

But the players should not be forced...or fined if they choose not to talk. That should be their right. There are players that will always talk and having spent a good chunk of our career in Sports, sometimes you take whatever you can get.

And if you have a specific request, you go through media relations. If they still choose to not speak to you, you find someone else to do a story on.

Morning Wrap: DEA Agents Visit NFL Team Doctors

Hmmm....this is interesting. It was a surprise Sunday for the medical staffs of several NFL teams this week as they got unexpected visits from the Drug Enforcement Agency.

According to reports: The San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks were all paid visits by agents looking to make sure prescription painkillers were prescribed and handled properly.

According to the folks at ESPN, the visits were prompted in part by player, both former and current, that teams often randomly doled out the painkillers without keeping track of who or how much was given.

The agents were looking for potential Controlled Substance Act violations.

The teams and the league agreed to cooperate with the investigation and according the the NFL, no violations were found.

ESPN, which helped break the story, provides investigative guy John Barr to discuss:

Morning Wrap: Seattle Seahawk Makes Detour Before Start of Game

((ht: foxsports.com))

Ooops...sometimes wild animals don't always stick to the script...

Which is exactly what happened Sunday afternoon before the New York Giants/Seattle Seahawks game in Seattle.

Taima the Auger Hawk gets paraded around the field before the game and is considered one of the teams mascots.

Which is fine...except Taima decided to go off script. And visit---or land on the head of a surprised Seahawks fan.

OSG High: Seahawks Open Practice Facility For Marysville-Pilchuck

((HT: KIRO-TV))

This was a class move...

With a community still reeling from a school shooting last week, the Seattle Seahawks and head coach Pete Carroll decided to do something really cool.

He invited the school directly affected and the team that was supposed to be their opponent for a region title over to the team's facility to practice and just hang out for a little while.
No word on when Oak Harbor will be able to make their trip over, but the gesture is still class... Our original story on the tragedy, the forfeit, and the reaction from Brother Phil is hyah...

Richard Sherman Cuts A Promo

((HT: NFL on FOX))

Bottom line...

If people are chapped at Seahawks DB Richard Sherman cut the following promo after the game his team WON... then, there should have been something done about it by the 49ers...

Scoreboard talks...
And Sherman did...

Can't wait for Media Daze...

Beast Mode Gives Another Beast Quake

((HT: KING-TV/NFL on FOX))

Seattle knocked off New Orleans in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs yesterday to set up their home game with the San Francisco 49ers- who held off Carolina today for another road trip to be one win away from the Roman Numeral Classic...

Marshawn Lynch scored another TD in the win over the Saints...

So, it appears one of Lynch's TD runs got the following response in the northwest...
From the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, the picture below...

And early information from the Seismic Network says that this one was a louder and more seismic response than this TD run three years ago...

Colin Kapernick "Shaves" His Eyebrow--Or Does He?

So, why not play in to an Electronic Arts P.R video stunt?

Right?

As the "Story" goes, San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson have a "Bet" over a Madden 25 (the new one) video football game.

Loser of Sunday nights battle between the two teams, was supposed to "Lose an Eyebrow".

Here's the "Payoff"--though we are quite sure this was "Post-Produced". But good try:

Reports: Jaguars to Hire Gus Bradley

Gus Bradley/Seahawks.com
And the carousel quickly begins winding to a close.

Multiple outlets, including ESPN's Adam Schefter and Fox Sports say the beleaguered Jacksonville Jaguars have found a new head coach.

That man is now former Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. Details are still being ferreted out, but the announcement is expected to be made sometime Thursday.

Bradley brings a great resume as a defensive coach both in college and the pros, but the one thing lacking on it is Head Coaching experience. He was the interim head coach at Fort Lewis College, but that is it.

The Jaguars, who just hired David Caldwell to be their G.M are looking to recover from 2012's 2-14 season when the team was rarely competitive and the crowds continue to dwindle.

It will be very interesting to see how this move goes over in the football deprived town.

DEVELOPING: RG III To Pensacola To See Andrews

((HT: CSNWashington))

And that is never a good sign those three words...

"Doctor James Andrews"

Redskins QB Robert Griffin III is heading down to Pensacola, Florida for further evaluation on his injured (and re-injured) right knee from yesterday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks...

Here's Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan defending yesterday's decisions...

“Right now, I really don’t know,” Shanahan said in the post-mortem press conference. “Everything right now is total speculation. …There is a concern.”

Here was the last straw yesterday...
((HT: NFL on FOX/youtube))

The HQ is thinking a re-blowing out of the knee and, at least, six months of rehab.

Apparently, The Solo-Stevens Marriage was "Beautiful"

((HT: KING5-TV))

With all the drama involving arrests, alleged abuse, and wondering whether or not there was even going to be a wedding between former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens and all-world goaltender Hope Solo...

Well, there was a wedding after all...
Small and beautiful...

Here's the report on the nuptials...
Congrats to the newlyweds... Now the legal part... The wedding happened just hours after both appeared in court over abuse charges. Kirkland (WA) Police believe Stevens assaulted Solo early Monday morning. According to Chris Stevens at KING5: Probable Cause documents claim police were called by Marcus Solo, Hope’s brother, at 3:45 a.m. Marcus had claimed multiple strangers were in the party and a “stun gun” was used to break up an altercation. The documents say an officer observed a bloody abrasion to Hope’s elbow, as well as blood in the kitchen and on a handrail. The officer says he found Stevens hiding in a bedroom and admitting “He and his fiancé Hope had an argument about whether they would be living in Florida or Washington after their marriage today.”
So the HQ hopes this is the end of it...

Is The Stevens-Solo Marriage Off After Alleged Assault...???

((HT: KING5-TV Seattle))

Okay...

The HQ has known a lot of relationships in its time, and very few of them that proceeded to nuptials after only two months of dating have led to a great time frame of success...

Enter the idea put forth by former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens and Hope Solo...

They were, apparently, heading to the altar after applying for a marriage license late last week, but Stevens was arrested and arraigned on charges of domestic violence against the USWNT goaltender.

The judge processing the charge dismissed it because of a lack of evidence...

Here's the early story on the arraignment...

It will be interesting to see what happens next in this...

Green Bay Packer Fans Protest Outside Lambeau Field Over Loss To Seahawks, Call For Fan Boycott Over Replacement Officials

The NFL is on fire after the controversial touchdown call at the end of the Packers/Seahawks game.  This Packer fan who attended the game in Seattle is calling for a boycott.  (Thanks KING-TV, Seattle, WA)

Back in Green Bay fans are pissed off.  Early Tuesday morning Packer fans gathered at Lambeau Field to protest how the replacement officials cost the Packers a win.  (Thanks WLUK-TV, Green Bay, WI)

We're Not Even Talking About The Packers-Seahawks Game Anymore...

((HT: ESPN/NFL/youtube))

Okay... the Seattle Seahawks absolutely mauled, manhandled, and wiped out the Green Bay Packers 14-12...

But... the whole thing has blown up in its face...

The grenade went off in the Jolly Roger's hands and the biggest profit machine in the biggest sport in America is having enough discussions about the replacement officials are proving once and for all (regrettably) that the replacement officials have no business being replacement officials...

We're not talking about great defense... which we saw...
We're not talking about a prototype in keeping one of the best offenses in check... which we saw...
We're not taling about the 12th Man and its impact... which we saw...
We're not talking about the emergence of Russell Wilson as a starting QB... which we're seeing...

We're talking about this...

Got fucked by the refs.. Embarrassing. Thanks nfl

And that will end up being the most expensive Tweet in the history of Twitter...
