If you're a student assistant for a football program, you're the lowest on the totem pole.
You're the guy that analyzes film at really odd hours
You're the guy that makes index cards for whoever wants them for game planning
You're the guy that makes those really big placards that have the symbols that, supposedly, tell the offense what the next play is
But, you're not the guy that is supposed to do this to West Virginia players during the Liberty Bowl
TWICE!!! Once to corner Daryll Worley and the other to RB Andrew Buie
The Texas A&M assistant, Michael Richardson, was given the football equivalent of being sent to his room- he was told by head coach Kevin Sumlin to remain in the locker room for the second half.
More on the future of Richardson when we know more...

Florida and West Virginia Football Players Hurt in Shooting
((ht: naplesnews.com))
Three young men are nursing injuries from a shooting Christmas Eve in Immokalee, Florida that scared the crap out of them all.
Two of those three are college football players: 19-year old J.C Jackson, a freshman WR and DB at the University of Florida and 20-year old Jacky Marcellus is a wide receiver at West Virginia.
Both were injured, though not seriously in the shooting which happened in the car of Marcellus's 21-year old brother Jackinson. Jackinson Marcellus was shot in the face by an unidentified assailant near the Crestview Apartments.
All three are from Immokalee and based on reports, were friends who were just out and about that night. Police have not offered a motive for the shooting.

No word yet on Jackson or the younger Marcellus being able to play in their teams bowl games. Both were in town on Christmas Break.

Morning Wrap: Kansas St Gets Win at West Virginia
((ht: foxsports.com))
It wasn't pretty, but it was a win that kept the Kansas State Wildcats tied for the lead in the Big 9 (12).
Behind 400 yards passing and a TD by QB Jake Waters, the Wildcats downed the West Virginia Mountaineers 26-20 in Morgantown, West Virginia Thursday night.
K-State won, despite being held to 1 yard rushing...for the entire game. The win moved them to 8-2, 6-1 in the Big 9(12).
As for West Virginia, they struggled without QB Clint Trickett who left the game in the 2nd quarter after sustaining what is believed to be a concussion. Skyler Howard replaced him and threw a TD pass, but it wasn't enough for the Mountaineers, who've lost their last 4 games.
The loss dropped them to 6-5, 4-4 in the Big 9(12).

Ha! West Virginia and the Eat #$%! Pitt Version of Sweet Caroline
((ht: thebiglead.com))
Oh, this is rich....those wacky West Virginia Mountaineers had a little fun when the ESPN College Gameday cameras stopped rolling this past Saturday morning before their game with TCU.
While in the midst of a rollicking/large crowd version of that perennial Neil Diamond fan favorite, "Sweet Caroline"...a few words got changed.
And it made reference to the Mountaineers arch rivals from just up the river---The Pittsburgh Panthers.
The Gameday crew also seemed to get a good laugh at it....
