((HT: webdotcomtour))
Isn't this the second time this year that someone has cleared a 59 on the web.com tour...???
It's the second round of the Albertson's tournament in Boise, and Russell Knox followed up his 69 with a 59- and he finished par-par for the 59...???
How's that...???
Will Willcox did it during the final round of the Utah Championship a few weeks ago to finish tied for third. But get this... the 59 by Knox was just the fifth ever on the Web.com tour...
Two in three weeks and five all-time...???
Knox is one up on the leaderboard at the half-way point...
Here's the putt for 59

"I'm A Bielemer" Razorback Fans Say
[HT: kegsneggsblog.com]
Here's some Razorback fans known as "The Bros" stealing the classic Monkees song "I'm A Believer" and turning that into this classic.
I'm sure Davy Jones is spinning in his grave right now. Mickey Dolenz just puked. Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema is disturbed.
As a Razorback fan myself I love the passion, but do you want this video to go viral. Maybe "The Bros" can perform this gem at halftime at the season opener against Louisiana.
Here's the classic Monkees tune "The Bros" destroyed.

Do Surveillance Images Show Hernandez With Murder Weapon???
((HT: MyFoxBoston))
The court documents involved in all of the Aaron Hernandez proceedings are slowly making their way out into the public domain-gawd bless public records requests...
The new release is a 104-page warrant goes into a few different events...
One was the morning of the first visit to the Hernandez home where North Attleboro, Massachusetts police describe the ex-Pat as "argumentative" and asking, "What's with all the questions?" The police also say he "slammed" the door when police told him they were conducting a death investigation.
Hernandez's fiance, Shayanna Jenkins, said the couple bought the surveillance system because of "several recent break-ins at their residence." This was before Hernandez told Jenkins to cease cooperating with local police in their investigation.
The 104 pages were fairly well redacted...
The warrant also says investigators claim that a shell casing found at the crime seen and one found inside a car rented under Hernandez's name were fired from the same gun.
There are also Xeroxes of photos from the surveillance video taken from the Hernandez home system (seen right, thanks MyFoxBoston)- some that identify him holding a weapon of some sort. Prosecutors believe that the weapon in one of the pictures is a .45- the same type of gun that killed Odin Lloyd.
Ted Daniel looks at the newly released batch of documents...

Alleged co-conspirator Ernest Wallace will be back in court Friday for a pre-trial hearing on charges of being an accessory to murder after the fact.

Emmert: NCAA Change is a Coming
((ht: indystar.com))The constant drumbeat is slowly reaching a crescendo. It appears last years Galactic Realignment is only the 1st step in what appears to be a monumental change in the way College Sports...or at least the major ones, are conducted.
And that audible sigh you heard came from the "Big 5" Conference commissioners who are leading the charge.
In an interview with the Indianapolis Star, NCAA president Mark Emmert went on the record, telling the paper, along with others to "Save the Date" of Jan 16 and 17 for a significant announcement on the future.
And it's already being speculated that future will split off the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12, SEC and maybe one or two others will break off from Division 1, and give them their own sandbox to play in.
And we couldn't agree with that idea more.
Read the IndyStar interview RIGHT HERE
We (The OSG) along with many others have gone on record with proposals and reasons as to why this should/has to happen.
This is what we think (for what its worth) should happen.
1st Check our story in March broaching this very subject RIGHT HERE
Allow me to re-state the key points:
Division 1 Football has to change. Yes, SI.com and the other big sports sites continue to talk about the conferences complaining about the NCAA enforcement and rules creating the problem. The so-called "Big 5" want to compensate their football and possibly basketball athletes. And most of them can afford it.
But the Sun-Belt and MAC teams of the world can't.
And really, let's not kid ourselves, it's about money. Think about the amount of money ESPN/FOX and/or others will pay for the rights to do "Big 5" games. You'll never see any other school on anything other than regional networks.
And that unfortunately is the truth of the matter. Most of the smaller Division 1 schools can't compete with the Alabama's and Ohio State's of the world. They never will.
Imagine for a minute you attend Miami (Ohio) or Georgia Southern or Idaho. Yes, congratulations, you are a Division 1 team. But you will NEVER get to play for the national championship. And don't give me this whole March Madness, on any given day thing. Basketball is different.
In football, nobody from the Sun-Belt, MAC, Conference USA, WAC or any other small division 1 conference will EVER win an NCAA title under the current system.
EVER!
So yeah, as much as we loathe the alleged "Non-Profit" University's of the world, they are making a killing and trying to pay bills they can't pay right now by squeezing TV money to pay for the new mega-practice facilities. No school outside the Big 5 can afford to compete with them on that front. And they'll never get a TV contract big enough to do it.
No, we'd rather see the Sun-Belt champ have a shot at a bigger title. Getting away from the SEC's of the world will be the only way that happens. So what if it's played on the CBSSports Network instead of CBS or on ESPN 2 instead of ESPN. It doesn't matter. At least it will be competitive.
A-Rod To Be Disciplined By Yankees For Second Opinion...???
((HT: ESPN))
So, Alex Rodriguez may be in trouble for going out of turn when it came to consulting a doctor outside of the Yankees purview...
What a player is supposed to do, according to the MLBPA by-laws and collective bargaining agreement, is notify the team in writing that you're seeking an opinion that has nothing to do with the team you play for...
ESPNNewYork.com's Andrew Marchand found out that Rodriguez notified Yankees president Randy Levine of his consultation with Dr. Michael Gross after it had occurred.
On the same late-night phone call, Rodriguez told Levine he did not trust Yankees team physician Christopher Ahmad, who diagnosed A-Rod with a Grade 1 quad sprain after an MRI was performed Sunday.
Here's Dr. Cross and his opinion which may cost Rodriguez more than he thought it would...
But, then in full spin mode, Rodriguez came out with a less-angry statement than the one yesterday where he was clearly kvetching at his employers...
"I think the Yanks and I crossed signals," the statement read. "I don't want any more mix-ups. I'm excited and ready to play and help this team win a championship. I feel great, and I'm ready and want to be in the lineup Friday night. Enough doctors. Let's play."
What is clear is that the Yankees do not want Rodriguez to play any time soon. If A-Rod stays out of action for a year (from last October to this October- for the sake of argument), the Yanks can collect insurance money on the contract because of the injuries. If A-Rod plays, the clock starts all over again...
And if the MLB offices suspend him before he comes back, then there's nine figures of dollars on the table that Rodriguez won't even sniff- until he appeals and everything goes to court all over again...

Today Is Booker T Day...
Of course, now that the HQ thinks about it, isn't every day "Booker T Day?"
Really... we're serious...
It's 'Booker T. Day' as put forth by the city of Houston.
Booker T. Huffman, is a native Houstonian, and will be presented with an official proclamation from the city at 5pm outside Toyota Center.
And, frankly, it gives us an excuse to show this one more time...

Can you dig that, SUCKA!!!

All Evidence of Aaron Hernandez Being Removed at UF
![]() |
| Courtesy: @profstriker |
Well, talk about cutting all ties. Literally.
A Twitter photo this morning from @profspiker, a University of Florida professor, shows a worker appearing to be cutting out the brick listing former Gator and New England Patriots TE and current prison detainee Aaron Hernandez as an All-American.
For that matter, according to multiple published reports, the school appears to be removing any mention of Hernandez around the Gainesville campus.
Hmmm....
It was reported yesterday that Hernandez's pre-trial hearing was postponed by 30-days so the Grand Jury can review new evidence. There's speculation the new evidence may include his involvement in a 2012 double homicide.
Stay tuned...
