The HQ is unsure as to the proper adjective to describe the situation in Fort Pierce, Florida...
Sharieff Inuka Rhaheed-Muhammad was a star linebacker at Central High School who has signed a letter of intent to play college football at Louisville.
But... and this is a big but...
He was arrested recently for impregnating his cousin and was charged on a felony of lewd lascivious behavior. The victim was apparently having sex with Rhaheed-Muhammad between the ages of 12 to 16- having been touched inappropriately for the first time at age 11. The victim even went as far to say that the sex wasn't forced when it began.
It was determined, as part of a four month investigation by Fort Pierce police, that it was with "greater than 99.99 percent probability" Rhaheed-Muhammad fathered a child with the girl when she was 14. She later had an abortion once her mother administered a pregnancy test.
Here's the early story after Rhaheed-Muhammad was released from the juvenile detention facility in Fort Pierce...
Louisville is aware... and head coach Bobby Petrino released a statement: “Coach Bobby Petrino is aware of the situation."
The school isn't saying anything else...
The even-more odd part is that the family of the cousin has signed a prosecution waiver- meaning that they don't want to prosecute Rhaheed-Muhammad...
So, what emotion fits here...??? Disgust is a good start...

Charlie Ward... High School Football Head Coach...???
((HT: pnj.com/Blakeney))
Charlie Ward could be the next head football coach at Washington High in the Pensacola, Florida area. He was one of 49 candidates and is reported to be one of the four finalists as well as a local Pensacola coach.
Ward resigned last month from his head coaching position at Westbury Christian School in Houston to find a job closer to his family in Florida and Georgia.
Head of School Greg Glenn said in a release on the Westbury website: “We would love to see him stay, but we respect his desire to focus on his family. We can never truly replace Charlie, but, thanks to his influence, Wildcat football has a bright future ahead.”
Here's a segment from CSTV's "On The Road" where they caught up with "high school football coach" Ward a few seasons back...
So, it would be a chance for Chah-lie to get closer to Coach Bowden...
And they might need help in a very tough region...
Last year, District 1-6A had only team that finished over .500- Escambia High...and they finished third...
Washington finished last in the standings with a 3-7 (1-4) overall- a game behind Pine Forest and Pensacola High

OSG High: Glades, Miami Game Canceled Due To Gang Violence
((HT: WPTV-TV))
The Glades Central- Miami Northwestern game was taken off the books last night because of the report of gang violence in the area...
A Thursday shooting in Belle Glade led the police to send the heads-up and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and School District Police decided it was best to cancel the game.
Northwestern Athletic Business Director Tiffany Wright she said the school received a call at 11AM breaking the news...
A Palm Beach County School District official told espnwestpalm.com that the game will not be played on Saturday and that Monday is "unlikely." There's only two weeks left in the regular season...
Here's the wrap...
Northwestern would go to 4-4 and Glades to 3-5 if there's no make-up because it would have to be considered a Glades forfeit.
Two teens were arrested and local police are searching for a third that they think is also involved in the shooting that was referred to by local police as "an ongoing feud."

OSG High: Florida HS FB Coach Suspended For In Game Slap
((HT: Fox Sports/ESPN))
First, let's show you what went down as the cause of all this...
What's your first response...???
Okay...
Because of what you just saw, Mark Guandolo- head coach of the Cypress Bay High team- is now suspended for three days and two weeks of extra-curricular activities after slapping his quarterback Lucas Tellefsen on national television in a 38-14 loss.
But, if you ask parents and players, they're mostly in support of Coach Guandolo- regardless of the incident...
Lucas' father, Eric Tellefsen, told Christy Cabrera Chirinos of the Sun-Sentinel newspaper- "We’re 110 percent fine with this. We don’t want anything to happen to Coach G. He means the world to the school and this football team and he wants nothing but the best for these kids. It’s an unfortunate circumstance.
"We love Coach G. He’s coached two of my older sons that are in college on football scholarships,” the older Tellefsen said. “There’d be a line wrapped around the corner if you called his players and wanted to know what he’s done for them.”
Guandolo told the Sun-Sentinel: "It’s disappointing and it’s not something I’m proud of,” an emotional Guandolo said. “I have great respect for the kid. I was trying to get him ready and fire him up. It was his first start ever and emotions were running high. He had people coming at him and there’s no easy way to get him ready for that.
“I was just trying to fire him up, but you can’t do it in today’s day and age.”
But what this does do is raise the question of where the line is these days for coaches and discipline for their players...
What say you on discipline...???
The HQ anticipates a generational divide...

OSG High: QB Becomes Homecoming Queen
((HT: WFOR-TV Miami))
Erin DiMeglio is the first female to be a varsity quarterback in the history of south Florida football at South Plantation High School’s Homecoming game.
So, at half time, when her teammates were going over second half adjustments, DiMeglio was crowned Homecoming Queen.
Evidence below...
“I was surprised, because a lot of girls at this school, they know a lot of people,” DiMeglio said.
And if it wasn't enough to lose one player for the half-time chat in the fieldhouse, South lost one of their wide receivers, Hordly Seide, for the King position.
South won 18-0, and DiMeglio is looking to play basketball at Central Florida after she graduates. So George O'Leary won't have to worry about a walk-on.
