Never let it be said that the eye in the sky don't lie...
When Bastia was playing PSG a couple of months ago, this happened as Brandao was waiting for Thiago Motta in the tunnel
Brandao claimed that Motta bad-mouthed him on the pitch and he waited for his shot at revenge.
The French Federation suspended him for six months, but prosecutors got their pound of flesh- a month in jail plus an undisclosed fine.

Dwyer Formally Charged With Hitting His Wife
Arizona Cardinals RB Jonathan Dwyer has been charged with 9 counts- involving assaulting his wife in two separate incidents in July. The final tally is felony aggravated assault and eight misdemeanors, including assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
Investigators say Dwyer broke his wife's nose with a head-butt during the first argument and he allegedly punched his wife and threw a shoe at his 17-month-old son the next day.
Dwyer was booked September 17th on "suspicion of aggravated assault" against his son, but the indictment didn't have any charges related to any incident with him- just the nine with his wife.
Police in the Phoenix area also think that the first incident involving Dwyer and his wife centered around the notion that she didn't like apparent contact between Dwyer and another woman.

The next hearing involving Dwyer is set for October 6th in Phoenix.

Pepe Is Gone-Gone For USA Match
((HT: Clay's Vine))
Because of this... another classless outburst on the pitch
And Germany is rolling in the second half against Portugal, 3-0.
The larger question has to be around just how long will Cristiano Ronaldo be on the pitch and how much will he be saved for the USA match- the next one on their schedule...???

Rio 2014: And Diego Costa Deserves A Straight Red
((HT: Transfer Related's Vine))
Spain's Diego Costa is being booed every time he touches the ball- since he's spent most of his life as a South American person now playing for the World Champs.
But this move won't endear him to a lot of folks for the near future...
Yes, it was sold. But it's still a head butt during play
FIFA, soccer's "governing bardy," may opt for some kind of retroactive punishment here.
It should be interesting to see what goes down after this game

OSG Prem: Pardew Fined, Suspended For Head Butt
Which, probably, means that he's done at Newcastle after the season since he's been banned for the next seven matches and there's only nine left in the 2013-2014 season...
Here's what started it all...
((HT: BPL on NBC))
So, the larger question is: Does Pardew survive all this even with a top-ten finish in the table...???
Prolly not...
Here's the FA's statement:
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew will serve a seven-match suspension with immediate effect, subject to any appeal, after he admitted an FA misconduct charge.
An Independent Regulatory Commission today [Tuesday 11 March 2014] ruled the first three-matches imposed are a stadium ban with the remaining four a touchline ban.
Pardew was also fined £60,000 and warned as to his future conduct.
He was involved in an incident with a Hull City player in the 72nd minute of the fixture on 1 March 2014.
The ban is only a three match ban from the stadium proper and the last four are a situation where he can sit in the director's box if he chooses...
No word on if Pardew will challenge or who will be running the show...

OSG Prem: It Is The Beginning, Pardew Charged By The FA
((HT: Sky Sports))
Here's the statement from the FA:
"Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has been charged in relation to an incident in his side's game against Hull City on 1 March 2014.
"It is alleged that in the 72nd minute of the fixture, Pardew was involved in an incident with a Hull City player that amounted to improper conduct.
"Due to the serious violent and/or aggressive nature of the reported behaviour this case has been designated as non-standard.
"Pardew has until 6pm on Thursday 6 March 2014 to respond to the charge."
Newcastle fined Pardew 100,000 pounds and there won't be any kind of criminal proceedings since neither David Meyler nor Hull City pressed charges on the head butt...
More analysis of the incident on SkySports even calls for Pardew to be banned from touch lines and training grounds

OSG Prem: Pardew Fined, And It's Probably Just The Beginning
((HT: BPL on NBC/NBCSN))
Let's revisit...
David Meyler of Hull City wanted the ball for an inbounds play, but pushed Newcastle manager Alan Pardew...
Pardew took exception and head butted Meyler... or, at least, looked like it...
Which led to this reaction
((HT: SkySports))
Which led to this apology
And led to this analysis...
Which led to this statement by the club, in part:
His behaviour was unacceptable and is not the behaviour we expect from the manager of Newcastle United …
Alan unreservedly apologised immediately following the game to the player, to Hull City Football Club and its fans, and to the fans of Newcastle United.
We have held discussions this evening with Alan who has offered his sincere apologies to the Club and it is clear he deeply regrets his actions. Alan has accepted a formal warning from the Club in relation to his behaviour today and also a Club fine of £100,000.
The Club is now drawing a line under this matter and will be making no further comment.
Pardew was fined 100,000 pounds and Newcastle legend Alan Shearer thinks that it will be difficult for Pardew to keep his job:
He told Sky Sports:
"What on earth can Alan Pardew say to his players when they misbehave?" Shearer said. "I have never seen anything like that before, ever.
"Frankly I wouldn't be surprised, and I don't think anybody will be surprised at all, if Alan Pardew were to resign over this.
"Even if he doesn't want to resign, the club might be saying to him, "We might be doing you a favour - you resign rather than us sack you", because that will have to be in his thinking also.
"It will be very difficult for him to keep his job now."
The FA admitted that they will be investigating further- and it looks like a suspension is imminent...
The larger question is: With ten games left, how many games and is it worth it to keep Pardew around- even if the team finishes top ten in the table...???

BREAKING: Chad Johnson Head Butts Wife, Then Goes To Jail (UPDATED With Release)
![]() |
| Chad Johnson's Mug Shot Saturday Night |
The Miami Dolphins took a chance on Chad Johnson (formerly Ochocinco, formerly Johnson) and about now the organization might be regretting that move.
Late Saturday night Johnson was arrested after what Davie, FL police say he head butted his wife.According to Davie police, (insert your Joe Friday voice here) Johnson and his wife of less than two months Evelyn Lozada were on their way home from dinner when his wife found a receipt for a box of condoms in the car. A fight ensued and escalated when they arrived at their Davie home. Once in the driveway, Lozada said Johnson head-butted her. Johnson told police she leaned forward and they hit heads accidentally.
"Needless to say she has a good laceration on her forehead." Davie P.D.Capt. Dale Engle said.
Lozada is a reality TV star who recently starred in "Basketball Wives."
Johnson was charged with simple battery/domestic violence and was expected to spend the night in the Broward County Jail. Johnson’s agent Drew Rosenhaus had no comment.
In a statement released to NFL.com a Dolphins spokesman said, "We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all of the relevant information,"
During his 12 year NFL career Johnson could be accused of being a diva but not a law breaker.
More as this develops
PM UPDATE: It seems also that the Dolphins have had enough of 8-5's antics as he has been released by the club...releasing him just hours after he walked out of the Broward County Jail, according to a team source.
